Diff anon but careful not to be too concentrated. I steeped six bags of black tea in a pot of water for some white tulle lace and I might as well have used coffee it came out such a dark tan.

Black tea usually gives you a warm beige to tan like >>9462143 said, depending on the concentration of the tea and how long you steep the fabric. A lolita made a blog post about tea dyeing her stuff which you might find useful, one of the things she dyed was a pink JSK:

Also if you're worried that the tone is too warm/saturated, I've found that blueberries help add grey tone. You just pop a few in after the water begins to boil.

a little anecdote: a couple years ago my mom and i went to BTSSB together for the first time. when we came out she whispered in my ear, "what's up with the freaky bunny??" and i was almost doubled up laughing because she's right. usakumya is kind of freaky and nobody really talks about it! cute, but freaky. it's the eyes. pic related is the only usakumya i've really loved so far because it takes away a little bit of the creepy element.

Happy to help. My biggest tip for finding dresses is googling the Japanese name listed on lolibrary. It doesn't always work but sometimes you get lucky.
