I've never really noticed a stigma against not shaving where I live. What I have noticed is women who don't shave making a big deal about it constantly when nobody else cares. Last meet some girl spent the entire day talking about how she's literally never even held a razor before omg like never in her life!!! and this one annoying acquaintance of mine keeps wearing short skirts with her really dark, thick, long leg hair and then putting her legs up on the table at cafes and shit pretty much daring anyone to comment on it so she can veel victimised. Just shut the fuck up, no one cares!

One time I dry shaved with a normal razor after noticing a strip of fur, it was before I had to sit in on a court case so I had to look my best. About 5 minutes into sitting listening to the opening statements my leg was on fucking FIRE. It burned so badly for hours, do not recommend whatsoever. Wet shave then use lotion, m8s.

All this talk about dry shaving is making me cringe. Like wtf is wrong with you people? You like to torture yourself with razor burn? That sound alone of a dry razor on dry skin is nails on a chalkboard. Just bend over while your legs are wet in the shower, lather the soap or cream on your legs and shave with the guidance of extra slip. Hell even with just water I'm okay with. Although razor burn still happens that way...... or get veet to remove your hair.

protip: instead of using shaving cream or soap on your skin, use a thin layer of hair conditioner. it lets you glide smoother and get closer to the base of the skin. also for extra silky smooth legs, rub a small amount of baby oil or coconut oil onto the areas you shaved RIGHT before you turn off the water. rinses the excess off but the majority will get absorbed into your skin super fast

I should have made it more specific.
Technically you're wet shaving when just using water and a disposable, but the term is used more for traditional shaving using non-canned shaving creams applied with a brush, a straight or double edge razor, and disposable blades that you can get for pennies. Wet shaving in terms of the shaving world mostly refers to this specific method of shaving.

It has a learning curve, takes skill to really get a good shave without slicing your skin up, but it's so much better for your skin and makes shaving feel fun instead of like a chore.

Using veet/nair has saved my life. If i even so much as touch a razor to my skin, it breaks out with razor burn. I don't know why the chemicals don't bother my stupid skin but whatever, I'll take it.
