Seeing an huge amount of comments from parents about their kids with autism having meltdowns because of the crowds. Imagine being stuck in a queue for hours and having to hear a ton of autists having loud breakdowns too, awful.

Some gaming bloggers tried to warn that it wasn't legit months ago but were threatened with legal action.

Gamer con website is down.
Oh dear god my sides.

Lads, website is down from traffic, on the 6 o clock national news and several online journals, people are being blocked on social media for asking for refunds,and now legal companies are getting in on this. And this all starts again tomorrow. Can we agree that this is officially a bigger fire than DashCon?

Some stuff I've come across so far, including GamerCon's 'recommendations' to people from tomorrow. Basically telling families to come for the morning only, and older gamers to come for the afternoon only. Also got a kek out of Insomnia getting a dig in at GamerCon

From what I've heard, €25 for a day ticket, €40 for a weekend and €80 for a family ticket. Word seems to be the Convention Centre capacity for the rooms they had rented was ~8,000. For today they seem to have sold either 12,000 or 13,000 tickets (reports vary), and 12,000 again for tomorrow. Assuming everyone bought a €25 ticket, and only the extras will ask for refunds (not people who got in but were dissatisfied) - the organiser owes about €200,000 in refunds

I went in cosplay yesterday and thankfully walked right in, but holy fuck those lines for basically everything! And then the whole business with the cosplay comp, was told at the pre judging it was down stairs, then up stairs so I spent a good hour trying to figure out what was going on, and never got informed like i was even in it like they said, and the judges were never informed where or when it was either!

Someone selling an amount of tickets that's over 3x the max capacity MUST have known that over 2/3rds of the people purchasing the tickets will not be able to fit in to the event, so selling tickets while KNOWING people won't be able to use them and enter does seem to fit the definition of a scam. Kinda like selling the same item three times to three different people on ebay and only sending it to the first bidder, or something

I'm going, usually a good event for the most part. Accommodation was tough this year for some reason. Normally it's very cheap. If you're going you'll need to try shack up with a few people in a hotel or something.
