I don't know about you gulls but I'm sick of the recent influx of people attention whoring with non-lolita/ouji coordinates. This shit needs to stop.

where do these people come from
>>
>>9369347
Idk anon, this coord confuses me. Why lavender??

>>9369360
The dress is a nice start but someone needs to send her a lolita coord checklist.
>>
>>9369394
She just wants to show off her designer stuff. That's literally the only reason I can gather she posted.

Girl, if it's not Japanese, we don't care.

>>
>>9369427

>>9369427

>>
>>9369333
Oh, I like this. Although I do wish she'd styled her hair a bit and used a nice black parasol as opposed to an umbrella.

>>

>>9369429
creative and fun

>>9369394
not any of those things.
>>
>>9369415

She's pairing designer bag and shoes with fugly homemade and terrible offbrand, posing in front of a No Parking sign. I don't think anyone cares, not even the fashion people.

Actually I think that's it, more likely she's run out of places where she thinks she can get asspats for owning one designer handbag and one pair of designer boots and decided the lolitas might be gullible enough to fawn over her. Idiot.
>>
>>9369394
>trying to subtle-brag about owning givenchy
>can't even see the bag in the photo

>>
>>9369499
s e l f p o s t
>>
>>9369394
Is it ouji? Eh. Is it way more wearable as a street fashion than all of these OTT coords? Absolutely.
>>
>>9369394
I love it, but it's just generic j-fashion to me at "most". I can't even see the IW blouse in question or this expensive bag?
>>
>>9369360
It's very much beginner and excusable for that, but I cannot stop staring at this girl's teeth jesus christ
>>
>>9369539
Debatably ouji, but it's wearable. When did lolita become such a costume fashion? OTT is great, but since when is OTT all there is?
>>
>>9369539
>>9369546
In what fucking world is this ouji? There is not a single thing she's wearing that could work in an ouji coord. Get this garbage off cof.
>>
>>9369342
This girl trips me the hell out, she looks identical to a chick I knew except chubbier.

As to actual crit, not sure why she chose white as the coordinating color because it's flattening out everything - gold would've been a better choice or maybe that berry color from the dress. And yeah, those ankle socks aren't doing her legs any favors, she'd be better off in tights due to physique.
>>
>>9369550
Until your comment, even though that's not what it was about at all, I hadn't looked at this girl's face.

Someone... someone help her....
>>
>>9369502
good except for legwear. tights?? leggings?? what is that?? and those boots are too chunky and military for that very aristocratic coat.
>>
>>9369444
According to the outfit rundown that is an AatP parasol.
>>
>>9369344
Holy mother of boobloaf. And I thought I had it rough.
>>
>>9369329
Is the blouse black or navy? None of this really matches each other, unfortunately

>>9369342
I just sighed
>>
>>9369320
I really like her. But not the shoes.
>>
>>9369335
Why did she choose tights with hearts on them when the dress has dots? Also, that dress cut isn't really flattering her body shape I fear.
>>
>>9369336
>>9369344
They shouldn't have sat down for those photos...

>>9369347
While the choice of lavender itself is probably debatable, the lavender tones of cutsew and tights don't match, which makes it look really unbalanced.
>>
>>9369599
i think the heart tights would be a cute and kind of quirky addition if they weren't on a fatty-chan
>>
>>9369539
Simple sundresses are way more wearable than most lolita dresses but that doesn't mean it's okay to start posting plain sundress coords in COF.
>>
>>9369394
This girl goes on cgl, so don't be surprised when "anons" mysteriously seem to approve of her outfit. She tried to be a tripfag a while back.
>>
Why do people keep bumping posts from months ago? Am I missing something? For example: >>9369498
>>
>>9369312
I don't usually hate septum piercings but it looks like she's got a holey booger hanging down
>>
>>9369400
>The dress is a nice start
Except for the fact it doesn't fit her. Look at the puckering at the waist.
>>
>>9369541
This isn't even remotely jfash, she's wearing one piece of lolita clothing which you can't really even see, then she clipped on some piece of fabric. It looks like the kind of shit a weeab would wear trying to emulate a FF look.

>>9369703
Atelier BOZ giuletta op
>>
>>9369700
How do you like it? The socks are zebra printed and have nothing to do with the coord. Not only that, the bag is out of place and she has no rings, bracelets whatsoever. This is too unpolished.
>>
>>9369703
I think it's an Atelier Boz piece.
>>
>>9369713

>Implying you need to stack a ton of shit on yourself to make a decent coord

Whatever happened to the days of throwing shit on and having fun
>>
>>9369725
It's not about stacking a ton of shit, but polishing the look itself. One ring in a hand, one bracelet in the other, a better necklace that doesn't smash your boobs and she would look much nicer (and take that zebra printed legging out , please)
>>
>>9369673
this is good ero.
>>
>>9369346
A better fitting cardigan and a pose that doesn't involve bending forward would improve this quite a bit, the current cardi and pose aren't very flattering to her bust at all.
>>
>>9369730
And maybe polish her shoes.
>>
>>9369394
Does she think she's special for owning Givenchy and Valentino? In a lolita group?? (Also, that crushed velvet blazer is ugly as sin.)
>>
>>9369539

>>9369358

>>9369667

>>9369670

>>9369502
The coord is nice but I hate the photo editing
>>
>>9369730
Anon, those tights aren't zebra printed, they're women with striped shirts on running up her leg. Her bag also isn't out of place since it's just a white bag from meta. I do agree a little bit of jewelry on the hands would help her though.
>>
>>9369315
I think this is cute but does anyone else get mildly vexed when someone wears non-elegant shoes with an elegant coord? The princess sleeves really don't go with the boxy-cute shoes.
>>
>>9369429
this is unbelievably cute and (in the most non-offensive way) she looks like she stepped straight out of an anime. I love how everything fits together.
>>
>>9369695
Nothing in that outfit is doing that girls proportions no favors. I hope she finds something that actually flatters her.
>>
>>9369499
Her bangs are bad and it's distracting
>>9369667
Simple coords like this are what I live for
>>9369695
There is absolutely nothing I like about this coord. I get being a fatty-chan is tough but
>the mismatched blues
>the tubular princess sleeves
>are her boobs...melting?
I'm a busty girl myself but proper support works miracles.
>that lace on the skirt
>that skirt in general
>I'm pretty sure those shoes are lavender
>cream socks and bag with white main pieces
>>
>>9369312
I don't understand how that would be even remotely practical...like you'd just be trying to talk and whoops, gobbled up that dangly crucifix.
>>
>>9369585
I'm >>9369329, the blouse is black, but a different fabric than the black on the dress. T b h, I've yet to do a coord with this dress that I really loved. I'm open to suggestions!
>>
>>9369695
Ew. Comeback after you lose some weight.
>>
>>9369360
That looks so painful. I bet she had awful red welts in her sides once she took that thing off. She's not even fat, how hard is it to buy things that fit you?
>>
>>9369703
Yup, that's the Boz Giulietta OP in the short length. I'm really not keen how this has been coorded. The tights and hat don't work well with it though, feel very mis-matched. The shoes feel a bit off, but aren't terrible. I don't think it needs a ton of jewellery to work, but it feels unpolished overall and uncoherent. The accessories just do not suit the style of the dress.
I have this in the long version in all black, and tend to go for long boots, black tights, a necklace, and a hair corsage. It's a dramatic dress, so feel that I prefer the neckline to be the focal point of the outfit. It doesn't need a huge amount going on in the outfit to work, but it does suit more of an 'Aristocrat'/EGA type of styling to it.
>>
>>9369770
>elegant
Sh's wearing animal ears...
>>
>>9369695
Guys she's a literal dwarf. There's nothing she can do about her weight/proportions. She's always gonna look frumpy.
>>
>>9369754
Girl, stop defending yourself. I've seen you self post here before and you're making it so obvious right now. Just accept the concrit and move on.
>>
>>9369908
That is understandable, but she can still find pieces that flatter her body better - and a good bra would make this look 100% better (Still not good, but better).
>>
>>9369638
She's black and needs attention. Duh.
>>
>>9369700
This is horrible, also the shoes make me want to gag.
>>
Bad angle.

Has potential, but fat, so it ruins the coord.
>>
>>9369329

>>9369928

>>
>>9369904
I was trying to gloss over that part, didn't want to be too nitpicky kek
but the actual dress and blouse itself are very elegant, and she's pairing it with cutesy shoes and headwear? Dunno, just tickles me the wrong way. Super jealous of her hair though.
>>
>>9369925
No dumbass, someone bumped it necroposting
>>
>>9370022
Right. Because she's black and they need to give her attention.
>>
>>9369908
Then she's always gonna draw criticism. What's your point?
>>
>>9369386
They don't even match her dress anon
>>
>>9369427
She's a qt but this coord is very generic. Still not bad though, it's nice to see another fatty-chan who can coord properly.
>>
>>9369329
I think black shoes and a more elegant blouse would be best. this blouse just looks so stiff, and might work for gothic or more mature classic. the overall styling is sweet so a cuter blouse next time. good luck!
>>
>>9369502
Can someone show this coord to these dumb fucks talking about "wearable ouji"

THIS IS WEARABLE. Like stfu and stop using "but it's not practical!!!!!!!1" as an excuse damn.
>>
>>9369777
>all those pins and shit
>the garter straps showing
>everything on her head
Yeah. She looks like she stepped out of a hot topic not an anime.
>>
>>9369429
I'm a disgusting piece of punk loving garbage and this is actually everything I aspire to be.
>>
>>9369673
This si really cute, but I can't help but feel like it's really weird that she wore this to the ballet? Like... it looks really costumey to be wearing somewhere like that.
>>
>>9369908
She should maybe look at custom size things on taobao? At least then it would properly fit. There's things you can do to have better fitting stuff. Maybe some would frown on her for wearing taobao but who gives a shit as long as she's doing it properly.
>>
>>9370131
I would normally agree with you, but she made it work.
>>
>>9370160
I disagree. Theres just too much shit on her coord.
>>
>>9370150
I don't know if it's a universal thing but whever I go to the ballet or a classical concert there are people all dressed up. And I'm talking about the adults, not just excited little girls in tutus who want to be ballerinas when they grow up. Some of them look amazing and some just look silly, but if this girl is going to the same venues I go to then she won't look all that much out of place.
>>
>>9370150
Literally what does it matter, though? If I want to wear my Crystal Dream Carnival OP to go grocery shopping then who's there to stop me? It's not like she's going to school or work and needs to look professional. She's having fun in her spare time, she can wear whatever she pleases.
>>
>>9370174
I just meant that usually the ballet is a more classy place, and wearing what is essentially a costume is a little weird. But I've only been to a few really expensive ballets on special trips with school and junk, so I guess they're all different, from what >>9370170 says.
>>
>>9370197
If you think lolita is essentially a costume then you're clearly a cosplayer turned conlita. Please gtfo and educate yourself about fashion.
>>
>>9369332
now this is a case of non-matching pinks.
it's still kind of cute but it'd be nice if there were only warm pinks in this.

>>9369335
needs better hair accessories, and the shoes are tolerable but are too normie. I like the silhouette she's created.

>>9369695
this is a big miss. I like some of her other coords. they were really cute and she looked like a duchess. the accessory styling here is all jumbled and mismatched, and the boobloaf is real. I'm excited to see her next coord. she clearly has a nice wardrobe
>>
>>9369840
The dress is kind of a struggle, and I don't mean this to be insulting, because it looks someone went to Ross and modded a dress, or home made or something. If you're really crafty, maybe change out the hem lace for a nicer black lace?

The whole coord leans too hard into normal fag territory (shoes, tights, bag, blouse, brooch) so I would say start over completely. ditch everything, the accessories aren't cohesive either.

As for the wig, if you want to stay with the blonde, I would go for something a little longer and more feminine/softer looking.

Good luck anon
>>
>>9370130
I've worn the same/very similar gilet with thick leggings and over the knee boots and it's very, very comfortable. Mine's the mens' size so ends up long enough on me that with the boots very little of the leggings is on view, and it looks fine. I also wear it with black jeggings. I don't like ouji style shorts and knickerbockers at all, and with some long boots a close-fitting pant is necessary.
>>
>>9370201
I meant her specific coord. It literally looks like it could be a ballet costume. Put pointe shoes on her and she could dance in that and nobody would think it was out of place. Calm your shit.
>>
>>9370130
>these dumb fucks talking about "wearable ouji"
point me to where said dumb fucks are, i'll moider 'em with coord examples
>>
>>9370201
different anon, but you and I both know lolita can look like a costume, especially sweet or OTT goth, you can't expect normalfags at the ballet to know the difference. That's why you get so many people on the street asking about what play you're in, etc.
>>
>>9370167
>agree to disagree
diff anon. I think >>9369429 is just a tad over-accessorized and bordering on imbalanced, but that's a negligible nitpick. it still looks good and that gives it a B+/A- in my mind.

>>9370150
bye, you clearly don't belong in the fashion if you can't understand wearing an elevated coord to a fancy event. I don't wear casual when I go to the opera. there's really no better place to wear your best than to "enjoy the arts" like royalty.
>>
>>9369908
I'm pretty sure a better bra would already fix a lot about her proportions.

Aside from actual fashion shows, the ballet is where people wear their weird high fashion shit to. If someone showed up in pic related would you cry about them wearing a costume and appropriating ballerina culture, too?
>>
>>9370222
It used to be the norm for people to dress up in their best to go to the theatre, be it ballet, opera, plays, etc. Nowadays pretty much anything goes in terms of what you can wear.
>>
>>9370220
>>9370222
Holy fuck, why are you so salty. I didn't insult her, I didn't say that she necessarily SHOULDN'T wear it, it just seemed a bit weird to me that you would wear something that looks like a dance costume to a dance event when you're not dancing there.

If this was literally any other event and someone wore "themed" lolita to it that looked THIS similar to a feature of the event everyone would be shitting themselves about how tacky that was.

Harry potter & other fandom coords are shit on all the time even when they're subtle and well done, I just don't see how this is any different from something like that.

It's always been my understanding that when you go somewhere nice like a ballet, or theater, or whatever, you dress nicely. That's what my parents taught me, that's what everyone I've gone to nice places like that with have always done.

Her coord is very cute. I love how it looks. It's just a little questionable IMO to wear it TO the ballet when it looks like a ballet costume.
>>
>>9370204
this is nice of you. fyi, that Infanta bonnet comes in red or blue velvet. it isn't black.

the wristcuffs are brilliant though, nice advice.
>>
>>9370221
It's the bodice being too tight and giving her boobloaf. any time you see square boobs the problem is the bodice fitting.
>>
>>9370229
My bad! I have flux on my computer so It messes up black/navy colors a lot.

A lot of this is stuff you could likely DIY (wristcuffs, headpiece) I feel bad linking stuff that's impossible to find.

I believe in you anon!
>>
>>9369539
>>9369546
Your samefaggotry is cringey, stop. Also whatever you are wearing isn't ouji and it looks like total shit, just accept it and try again.
>>
>>9369360
i have a snaggle-tooth like her, she needs to smile with her mouth closed
>>
>>9370228
I think I get where you are coming from, and I was always taught to dress nicely to theatrical events, however what I dont get is why you think her coord is so costumey?

It is obviously themed to the event, but I dont think that makes it look like a costume, the coord is well done, not cheap looking, and fits the event. Its not uncommon for people to go over the top when dressing up for these things, at least not in all the years ive been going to ballets and plays.

She looks elegant, refined, and completely fits in to the atmosphere of ballet.

Lolita can be a very appropriate clothing choice for theater goings. I plan on wearing a nice and elegant gothic coord myself to see The Phantom of the Opera.
>>
>>9370236
It looks VERY costumey to me, not in terms of quality, but in terms of... well, She did her research, I guess? I came from a background of dancing, and seeing her coord SUPER makes me think of some ballet costumes I've seen / worn / my friends have worn. Which, was the point of it, but that in itself MAKES it costumey. High quality doesn't remove that fact. To me, that looks exactly like an outfit that you could just go on stage and dance in (despite the fact that i KNOW that because of the materials and construction, it's not actually suited for that), it's just how it looks.

As I said, she did a great job making a coord for the Black Swan. But she maybe did too good a job to keep the character element separate from the fashion element.
>>
>>9370228
I get where you're coming from too but it really isn't that similar. She obviously took some inspiration from it (since, you know, that makes sense. Just following a theme) but it's hardly difficult to tell the difference. It doesn't scream costume to me
>>
>>9370242
I do ballet and it looks fine to me anon
>>
>>9370225
People where I am still dress up for ballet, but that means black/white tie formalwear instead of wearing a ballerina costume.

>>9370201
Lolita isn't essentially a costume, but that coord definitely is. There are ways to dress up lolita for fancy formal occasions, but wearing a glorified Hot Topic minidress isn't one of them.

It just has a lot of common ballet costume elements, I guess. Like I said before, it's just what I think of it, and I didn't try to insult her over it. i'm just not sure why some people were getting SO fucking salty about what I said.
>>
>>9370228
I've seen a man in a holographic silver suit at the opera/ballet center in my city, which is an incredibly fancy and high end place. People wear the weirdest shit thinking it's their best. I wore Meta's Dark Night Guardian to it as well, which is more flashy then this girl's coord. I understand you're not really exposed to places like that but stop being so defensive and accept you thought wrong. There's nothing wrong with what she wore and she probably got tons of compliments just like I did.

You missed my point. People can wear what they want to the theatre nowaays, and this outfit, while it looks clearly inspired by the ballet, doesn't actually look like a ballet costume. It looks like a corset dress with poofy skirt outfit rather than costume.

>>9369394
This just looks a mess. It could be a nice outfit, albeit not Jfash, without that questionable homemade buttcape, which just throws it off. Something doesn't feel quite rigth with the necklines either on the black blouse and the red over it, which I can't tell if that's part of the buttcape or not. Casual, wearable for a more every day level ouji (on the 'Aristocrat' end) is more like >>9369502.

Hopefully it's just monthly and I'm retarded. His stuff was okay at first but now it's getting mediocre/bad and annoying.
But in his defense, he could potentially be a qt if he'd lose a little weight and wear some flattering makeup and wigs. What's the point in having so many beautiful clothes if they just don't fit?
>>
>>9370320
I don't get this. Why would you put this much effort into an outfit but do nothing about your hair?

>>
>>9370298
she didn't particularly try hard with this coord at all.
this is just clumsy and drab. the fabrics not vibing and the random hime accessories are part of the problem, and her choice of blouse color is the number one offense.
>>
>>9370294
It can't be just me, but whenever I see Chess Chocolate, I can't help but think it's the replica. Is it just that this is a common replica item (is it?) or does the original dress have the quality of a replica?

that one androgynous ouji with the short blonde hair sometimes posted mannequin coords.

I just think his are shitty, not well planned+bad photos, and he's really wasting his own time.
no one is giving him crit because what's the point, so he's preventing himself from ever gettin' gud.
>>
>>9370285
This is precious, I love it! The Betsey Johnson purse goes with the dress perfectly.
>>
>>9370709
Because he can, I bet that's his logic.
>>
>>9369955
I would actually say the opposite. The dress and especially the ears make the coordinator really cutesy. The shoes look too princess's imo and should be changed out for something less elegant and more laid back like tea parties
>>
>>9370253
The only thing I would change would be to wear a fur stole or lace shawl to cover the shoulders. It does look a bit costumes and with covering up a bit with the right accessories it would look a lot more elegant. I was raised that you dress classy or elegant for things such as a ballet or theatre. Too much skin like this wasn't very except able like this unless you were 10 and wearing one of your nicer church sun dresses and didn't get own things like shawls and stoles. At least for me I didn't start wearing them until I was 13 and "a young lady"

>>
>>9370838
Could be the angle but it doesn't look too far off her head? Though yes I agree I wouldn't wear anything too much fighter then my scalp. But that's not just from my parents teachings. I'm on the lower end of average height and nothing sucks more then having to sit on your knees at the movie theatre, or god forbid the Opera or ballet with the price your paying for tickets because some asshole is wearing a tophat or some lady has a foot tall bumpit in her hair and I can't see past the row in front of me. But I assume that's just common courtesy.
>>
>>9370839
I'm actually not trying to pick on this particular girl, it's something that's been on my mind for a while and it's most obviously displayed here.

Are larger individuals just accustomed to the way their clothing looks so that this sort of warping doesn't bother them? I'm not saying that the overall outfit would be that much better on a different body type, just wondering why so many people ignore how clothing actually fits on their bodies.
>>
>>9370855
that's not even a nitpick, the reds are very blatantly unmatching and jarring. they're not even the same tone.
>>
I can't focus on the coord at all, I'm just so confused by her waist to gigantic leg ratio???
>>
>>9370855
>>9370868
Original commenter here, I meant it as both a nitpick and a compliment if that makes any sense. The print itself has at least 3 different reds in it (bright, true, wine) so while ideally every red in a coord should match it still looks nice.
>>
>>9370839
I could almost like this headdress if it was in the right OTT coord, she at least has the hair volume to match it. But the coord doesn't match.

>>9370844
This dress and blouse almost look like they were made for each other. I thought they were an OP at first.
>>
>>9370305
It looks like white with bad lighting to me
>>
>>9370867
no, I'd say it's more that some people ignore how it fits as long as it's on and they feel pretty. you see this a lot in lolita because a lot of times our dream prints don't come in our size.
after a girl has been in the fashion a while she'll learn to say no to buying/keeping things that don't fit and find beautiful alternatives.
I'm plus size and resigned myself to the fact that I had to broaden my tastes and be more open to try initially unpreferred styles while making fit my highest priority.
It may be easier to tell myself no and shop wisely as I'm used to the struggle in every area (tall, big feet, busty, wide shoulders, and chubby)

for >>9370839 I think the best advice would be to wear more skirts and invest in several good pettis. more tights instead of otks. if she wants to do jsks and ops they should be shirred around the waist, and she should get a good shelf bra.
>>
>>9369673
I want to like this but everything looks really low quality.
>>
>>9369700
Looks like she jumped on a bandwagon without realising that nothing goes together.
>>
>>9370873

Pear shapes sometimes store fat in their lower bodies before their upper bodies.

That said, this is exactly why everyone needs a petti -- and fatties need it even more. The bigger poof makes fat legs look smaller. The fatties claiming they don't need a petti because they have "natural floof" are idiots who can't into fashion.
>>
>>9369700
Boz pieces are usually great for minimalist or simplistic elegance, and though I don't think the bag is horrible, the hat, tights and even shoes to some degree just make this look clunky. Really is a shame for such a beautiful dress.
>>
>>9370916
Ok, that makes sense. I really appreciate your response, and I hope that you continue finding beautiful pieces that suit you perfectly.

>>
>>9370306
I think her bodice might be too tight and she might've used a sports bra or a minimizer to fit in there? Something similar has happened to me before instead of classic boobloaf.
>>
>>9370945
My thoughts as well on this. Start trying to pike too much on an outfit with a dress like this and it gets too fussy and cluttered very quickly. Let the dress be the focal point.
>>
>>9370302
I really like this but i'm torn because it's very close to costume territory for me with all the themed accessories. With a bit less bows/pins it would be perfect. but that's just my personal taste.

But why does he always screw himself over with closeup shots? The eyebrows, that 5 o'clock shadow, that bad makeup.
>>
>>9370820
I think they look cutesy -- the boxy toe and thick heel doesn't say 'princess' to me. The cut of the dress is more streamlined than most cutesy sweet dresses, even though it's pastel, therefore I'm getting a more mature vibe, but that could be played down by switching the blouse for a peter-pan collared puffy sleeved one. But agree to disagree.
>>
>>9370873
what's this dress?
>>
>>9371033
I dunno, could be too much nitpick from my side, but imho:
- the combination headpiece/wig kinda makes the wig seem like it's either made out of some strange plastic or has gotten really really felted around the bangs
- that JSK cut doesn't really suit him, his chest looks too large for the JSK.

Also, in the close-up, I find his arm hair appalling desu and I'm not even one of those "SHAVE IT AALLLL OFFFFF"-people
>>
>>9369900
Hey I'm the anon in the pic. Thanks for the concrit, next time I'll try to go more elegant and simple than a gaudy goth styling. I definitely need to invest in some long boots.
>>
>>9371057
You don't necessarily need full knee highs, elegant calf highs could work. A more elegant heeled shoe could also work really nicely. I just personally prefer wearing boots myself. Your best bet with a dress like this, which is quite a hard one to pull off especially if not going for the 'nun coord' look, is to look at how Boz styles it and how others have coorded similar Boz nun dresses. Personally I'm not a fan of ful on nun coords, so strive for an elegant gothic look. Your outfit didn't come off as goth at all in terms of the accessories is another issue that you had, and just mismatched. Thanks for responding so well to the concrit. Good luck for the next time that you try to coord this.

I feel like for a lot of lolitas print >> fit. Especially if it's a popular sought-after print, you can't even mention that something blatantly doesn't fit because then people will just respond like "it's her dress she can wear it however she wants and you're just jealous and probably poor". Doesn't matter if you own the exact same dress or if it's not even your style. You poor and jelly.
There's a girl in my comm who calls herself a brandwhore but doesn't even fit half-shirred AP, so she wears it with the zippers hanging open. Nobody ever says anything because they know that she and her friends will just tell them to buy the dress themselves or fuck off. Meanwhile it's perfectly acceptable for her to criticise everything about someone else's coord. Because she's a brandwhore with high standards, don't you know?
>>
>>9370931
I feel the same about a lot of her coords

>>
>>9370867
I think its sometimes a matter of being unprepared. Depending on who is taking my pictures they might not tell me something is off and I won't find out until after the picture is taken. For some people it's that they dont care others just dont know how to make sure that clothes actually fit. I have friends that only wear baggy clothes and dont know how to make sure something actually fits and flatters if its not oversized, I have others that think because they can get into it that it fits. In short it varies. Im aware of fit over print but i also make my own clothes so fit is very important for others it is something they dont consider.

I agree with this. Pick things that work for your figure as well as your style tastes. If it doesn't fit, get it altered, or go for different cuts or even brands. No matter how muh you love the look of something, alterations can only work up to a point. Wearing something ill-fitting ends up looking really bad, no matter what fashion style you wear. Yes, lolita is a pretty out there style, but some of the core 'rules' on styling things well, such as knowing what suits your figure well, along with what colours suit you also still apply here. For example, I stick to pieces in dark or rich, blue-based jewel tones because pastels or white wash me out or make me look ghostly in not a good way. I also need to wear longer cuts and have smaller bust measurements. Basic fashion principles apply to everyone, and it doesn't matter whether you're tall or short, fat or thin, what the colour of your skin is. The same rules apply if something is far too big your you, it will still look bad.
>>
>>9371034
If someone could teach him foundation and eyebrow shaping he'd be pretty cute.
>>
>>9370672
OP here of that post. Yeah I'm here regularly. You're right! It was a casual coord for a convention because I don't cosplay. The color scheme was pink and purple. I'm trying to find a suitable black blouse to go with this jsk, but I really don't want anything chiffon or short sleeved because of the way this jsk sits (it's a babydoll cut.) I have my eye on a cotton black atelier pierrot blouse. Do you think that could work?
