Whatever type of synthetic they make sports and performance clothing out of. The rigidity seems to come from how it's sewn together, and maybe some pieces underneath it to give those hard edges.

any idea where i could get something like that? i could probably buy some cheap jogging shirts. Also would i have to sew it in two layers in order to get that proper full look? im fairly new to working with anything other than metal or fiberglass

you can buy it by the yard or cut up old shirts or whatever. it's probably just one layer. while it mentions foam i don't think you'd want it because it'd act as an insulator and heat you up.

any idea what to search for or where a good place would be to find low cost shirts? tried putting one of my older jogging shirts over my face to see what it's like to breathe through and to be fair i'd rather spend money on some brand new yet cheap stuf.

clearance/outlet stores maybe. I went to a nike store and they had shirts for $15ish because they were on sale but they were in the usual bright runner colors. guess you could always dye them though.

Judging by the appearance and it's intended usage it looks like stretch nylon covering a very thin sheet of foam. The rivet holes on the sides cover the ears and allow you to hear while the plastic cheek pieces have holes in them to allow you to breath. It looks like 5 pieces but you really should get a reference picture of the back.

If you can, get a 3D model of the enemy and look at the texture file for it. Should be an easy pattern to start with and adjust as necessary.

I was thinking a 65% polyester/35% cotton blend for both the pants and the shirt/jacket thing, but I want to know what /cgl/ thinks.
