The black jsk I have is actually the most flattering dress I own. Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with my body type, I'm extremely flat chested and a lot of jsk cuts look awkward on me, so when I find a dress that actually looks good I want it in multiple colorways. I can see how the cut would look awkward on average body types though.

I also have an obsession with velvet and florals, so to have both on the same piece, and the cut looks good? Basically my ideal dress. If I wore brown I'd be hunting it down in the other two colorways too.

I would like some advice on getting a dream dress that I think is some what common?

I am looking for Holy Lantern in pretty much any colorway except navy or black and in any cut except the skirt and the high waist jsk.

I just took a damn good job where I get paid way more than I used to, so my first instinct is to save. If I wait until next payday to buy, I can have spending money without having to worry about paying bills and would still be able to save. (also there is a lolita I want to treat to coffee and things like that)

but is what I'm looking for as popular as I think it is? I check all the sales sites including the threads here, mercari, fb sales groups of all sorts, y!j, mbok, lacemarket, closetchild, and wunderwelt. Am I covering all my bases?
Also how fast do they usually move? I feel like I've seen the same HL red zipper jsk on y!j auctions forever for like 50,000 yen.

None of the MTOs have ever flooded the market nor rendered a dress "common" . You have to remember the "supply" is other girls who paid $300 up front in order to own the dress, this isn't some surplus lucky pack print that nobody wanted. Most of them aren't so willingly happy to let go of the dress they paid $300 for, at least not until its popularity actually hits rock bottom (and right now ] HL is very far from rock bottom). You're basically after a popular-ish dress that happens to have higher numbers in circulation, doesn't guarantee you'll find someone selling it any sweet time you decide you want it.

After trying to find a Latisha jsk by Atelier Boz for a few years now, I've just found on CC something very similar. The big differences are the corset lacing on the back of the shoulders, plus a front zip on mine rather than double breasted buttons. It's misisng the corset lacing from the shoulders on mine, but it was only 7,800 yen, so wasn't too bad a price. The lacing should be straight forward to replace. I'd still love a Latisha jsk, but this is probably the closest I'm going to find.

I own the ivory jsk myself and I think the OP stock picture looks so shitty. The ivory looks too much like white, the red is too bright and the yellow, which looks more yellow-gold irl, looks like piss-stained yellow in the stock pic. When I scrolled past it I almost thought "How fugly is this dress?" when I realized it's my dear Honey Cake.

This dress is causing me so much internal strife. I HATE chocolate prints-- except for this one. I need it, and I have no earthly idea why I need it.

It matches absolutely nothing in my all black wardrobe. Even if I did find it in this colorway (Ive only ever seen the ivory and navy listed for sale) I would have to buy all new blouse, all new headress, shoes, matching legwear- probably a different colored wig.
