The far away photo kind of washes out the makeup detail, but my eyes are pretty hooded, so I have to use a combination of western makeup techniques and Asian ones for my makeup to look right (I usually do a halo eye using burgundy, gold, and light pink while smoking out my lower lash line with reds and oranges). But what works for me might not work for you if you have different types of eyelids! I'd suggest finding youtubers that have similar eye shape as you and basing your makeup off that!

This was a longer shoot with a proper photographer, and yes he did tell me to stick out my chin a little more for better shot. It feels unnatural and I think my face doesnt look my own, but the result looks a whole lot better.

Because you have a rounder face I would suggest lowering the neckline a tiny bit and making the wig fit your face frame better, even if its a little less accurate. I feel like taking action poses with this costume instead of glamor shots would also help you look less awkward.

The body of the top is two full circles backed with a full circle of matching charmeuse, the sleeves are four and a half-ish circles sewn together in a big spiral to make all the volume. While I agree that some of these cosplays are not absolutely amazing, costume contest winners or even entirely accurate, I think this is a good example of how people will be absolute shits to each other when everything is anonymous, but the minute someone goes off anon (even just with a picture) people will react differently, generally being more positive. Most other threads are very harsh and bitchy to even the best of cosplayers, but self post threads are always gentler.

I'm not familiar with the source, I'll be honest, so if it's accurate, great, but I think it would look way better if there weren't such a clear division of when each color starts. As it is, it's clear that you've just tacked on new wig layer after new wig layer like someone with really bad extensions instead of looking like "real" hair like the character presumably has.

I would do more with the wig to try to give it some personality. If I wasn't in love with Yato I wouldn't have recognized it. Maybe try adding texture by sort of creating some weak "spikes" on the top layer so it has a little more volume to it? He always looks a little disheveled and has some bits and pieces sticking out of his hair.
