I mean there are SOME sack dresses that can be made acceptable on tiny rakes, but has anyone ever seen this monstrosity look good?!? The sailor neckline puts this sack dress into a whole new category of awful.
Why do people even buy these granny sacks
>>9246137
+ even pregnants can wear them.
does /cgl/ only hate sack dresses because most of you gulls look shitty in them?
I don't get why people hate them so much. They are amazing. You don't need to be the the ultimate flatland to look good in a lot of them. If they have waistties and aren't gathered awkwardly right above your bust like in OPs pic you are fine. Just don't stuff it up with a lot of poof, keep it minimal.
>>9246163
Why would you gather them at the waist? That defeats the whole purpose of the silhouette and never looks good. If you want something fitted, just buy something fitted
I have no breast being that I am a guy (albeit a really short one), do you think these types of dresses would be appropriate for male lolitas as far as shape goes? Pic isn't ugly per se, but it looks like a baby's christening gown to me.
>>9246127
Can we also post worn pictures? Good, bad or ugly. I have no idea how to coordinate with this shape and I'm curious as to how others have.
>>9246260
Definitely yes, and go lurk in the brolita thread
>>9246365
>>9246363
The OP looks cute because the bow and sleeves take visual attention away from the otherwise awkward cut of the JSK. Even if they are both similar in style below the neckline. The JSK looks weird even on these girls, but the OP looks super adorable worn in all these examples.
On me however... that's another story.
>>9246260
Unless they actually pass, guys in lolita are creepy anyway so it doesn't matter.
>>9246363
The level of shoop on her eyes is scary shit.
>>9246384
>not knowing purikura
Anon, pls
If you have an extremely flat chest then babydoll dresses will look adorable.
If you have any chest to speak of, particularly a larger than average chest, babydoll dresses will make you look like a pregnant woman instead of a delicate waif.
>>9246384
its purikura...
>>9246363
So does the part where the hem is.... just sit on your boobs? Is that comfortable? Dreamy Planetarium in particular looks so awkward.
>>9246427
yikes, chestlet alert
it's okay, i'll enjoy looking cute in my corset cuts while you angrily search for your chicken cutlets
>be flat chest with wide rib cage
>be slightly underweight and still have no waist
th-thanks ap
>>9246569
Are you me? I think some waistless cuts will look cute on us (like Holy Lantern), but those with gathering over the boobs look bad on everyone
>>9246224
Of course you shouldn't tie them so thight till your sack dress has a defined waist. Just loosly giving it a super slight shape, to blanace out if you have a bit of a bust. The cosmic OP is a pretty good example for what I mean. I'm on mobile now I can't provide any images.
>>9246432
No one over about 34B (US) should wear them.
>tfw 5'7" and just bought cosmic sailor jsk
tell me eveything will be daijoubu
>>9247614
It looks so bad my dude
>>9247823
>>9247824

>>9247832
i love sack dresses so fight me
>>9246127
Any girl with thin legs will look good.
>>9247846
>any girl with flat chest
corrected that for you
>>9247853
*any girl with thin legs and a flat chest
ftfy
>>9247832
..... It looks like a baby's outfit on an adult woman. Why can't all of you see that?
>>9247959
Where do you live that it's common for a baby to wear heels, a petticoat, and a lot of hair accessories?
>>9248037
Not that anon but...America? Toddlers wearing heels is no new thing.
sack dresses look like baby baptism dresses and they should all be burned
>>9248070
But where outside of a beauty pageant is it common for them to wear heels, petticoat, and that many accessories? Nice fucking cherrypicking.
>>9248070
>used an image of a celebrity nutjobs kid to prove a point about what the average toddler wears
I laughed.
The thing is, back in victorian era, they dressed babies in lots of frilly shit to accomodate them to it since everyone wore more fancy crap back then. And eventually, grown ups started wearing less and less shit, but for some reason, it remained normal for babies,toddlers,kids,... to be decked in frills and stuff, even today. So I think that's why most people might associate sweet lolita (plus the pastel colours) to toddlers
Correct me if i'm wrong.
>>9246360
What the fuck is up with the eyes of the one on the left?
Oh and the one on the right kinds looks like Venus Angelic
>>9248077
Every week for church. Holidays. Also any sort of fancy event? My sister and I got the poofiest dresses to go see The Nutcracker every christmas when we were young.
>>9248101
Once again this is purikura. It allows you to drastically change your eyes.
>>9248101
>not knowing what the fuck purikura is and looks like
just kys
>>9248126
The children where you live wear a shit ton of accessories to church? What the fuck?
Even Payless sells a ton of heeled shoes for toddlers?? Like... this isn't unusual?? Just google "Toddler Heel Shoes" and you'll get a crap ton of results?
>>9248138
Okay, so one element – the tons of accessories – isn't really common to children, still the look reminds people of what children wear to their first communion. Something doesn't need to be a one to one copy of something to be reminescent of it. Just accept that you look like an adult child to normalfags and wear your sack dresses with love anyway.

Friendly reminder to report and ignore all b8. This includes accusations of age play.
Reword for anon: Maybe like children's clothing exaggerated?
