I love the trend of japanese brands getting costumes of their mascots, the ones of the fairy kei brand Magical are really cute and they often model their new releases

THANK YOU. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. It looks ugly and terrifying to me. The only part I like is the shape of the head (that material though, eugh) and the design in the eyes is a nice concept.

In all fairness, I can see it. People find some part of it offputting and creepy, it's probably the most heard complaint to these costumes. Personally like it, but the fabric choice is unusual and shaggier than I'd expect from a mascot, makes it a bit weird (and yes I saw that that's mimicking the official plushie).

Etsy or Furaffinity. Many makers have their own style, so its hard to really recommend someone specifically.

It's a copyright fear thing and pretty common.
Unless they're making them for themselves or the style desired is far enough from the series' style, a lot of makers prefer to stay away from copyrighted characters. Some will sell premades or are willing to do specific OCs/fursonas based off of copyrighted species (i.e. Pokemon), but that's about it unless you can find a maker who doesn't care, which they do exist. I know of a few but they tend to be picky.

The alpaca only costs something over 5000 bucks as well as a licence from Amuse, nothing uncommon for official mascots.

All of these are so cute.
I would love to make something like this and wear with j-fash or normie wear, I just think it's so cute
But of course it would be out of place anywhere but at a convention, and you'd get called a furry.
.. Or are you actually a furry if you like stuff like this? I really don't like furries and the thought of furries kinda disgusts me, but I do find these kind of mascot suits adorable...

I think these heads are cute, but i'd like one that was small, only a face mask with ears at the edge of hair line, that i could hide the string under my wig. I tried to commission one one from a suit maker, but they forgot about me for months then just refunded the money.
On a related note.
I had a aspie furry with collars/chains and a week-long unwashed smell full force scream into my face that I was a furry because I own one pair of ears and a tail for a neko cosplay.
