I've started up a new tumblr, who are your favourite lolitas/oujis/EGAs to follow? I'm looking for inspiration.

Also do you think there's any point in starting a non-tumblr lolita blog? I've seen so many start up and get no recognition, mostly because everything has been said already. So unless you have the closet of Milkyfawn, is there any point?
>>
I'd really only start a real blog if I already had a large following on some other social media, so a harder to find "old school" blog would already have some kind of base following from your tumblr or insta
>>
>>9154463
You're right. It's a pity, I've always loved writing but unless you have a large following your words are most likely going to go unnoticed.
>>
Okay, million dollar question: how do you become efamous in the lolita community if you're not part of a huge/well known comm? Or, if you want to become efamous but not look like an attention whore.
>>
>>9154490
you don't not look like an attention.
>>
Why would anyone want efame? Surely better putting your time into making $$$ or being passionate about something or getting creative. Fame in such a small community seems like a waste of time, like...what do you get out of it. Honestly I don't feel anything if I get 400-600 likes on something, only that it's probably not awful.
>>
>>9154498
that made sense
>>
>>9154514
attention whore. Sorry you can't fill in the blank for a simple mistake. E-fame hungry seagull.
>>
>>9154515
i'm in here looking for lols
>>
Anyone else stopped posting pictures of themselves as much because of the creepy kink blogs that are all over tumblr?
>>
>>9154525
Yeah, think everyone had that idea at the same time! Still go on insta though, we are left alone there for the most part
>>
>>9154528
Yeah I am primarily on Insta now as well since it seems to be significantly less of those people.
>>
Can I ask some questions about this, I hear people complain about it a lot, to the point of giving up their tumblr, and I know I have some, but never done anything about it. Referencing >>9154525 but questions are for anyone.

>how do you find out about these blogs, do they interact with you or draw attention to themselves or do you have to check each of your new followers?
>What about it specifically bothers you, that they just follow you on principle, or are they also doing things like reblogging you when they mostly reblog kink, messaging you, stealing your photos or adding kink tags when they reblog you?
>if on principle, do you think there is a way for these blogs to appropriately interact with non kink blogs, or should they not follow non kink?
>What have and what can you do about it, like a "please don't reblog to porn sites" message, have you filed a report on an account, etc.
>>
>>9154586
I've spoken about this before but I suppose it doesn't hurt to do it again.
>how do you find out about these blogs, do they interact with you or draw attention to themselves or do you have to check each of your new followers?
I do check my new followers when I can because I find it interesting but I don't particularly care about porn blogs following me or even reblogging certain things from me, at least not enough to take action on it. Normally I see it when I look at the notes or tags on images of me.

>What about it specifically bothers you, that they just follow you on principle, or are they also doing things like reblogging you when they mostly reblog kink, messaging you, stealing your photos or adding kink tags when they reblog you?
Specifically it is having pictures of me on a blog of pornography. I personally am uncomfortable with it as I don't really like having my image next to cum shots and the like. This happens through reblogs or reposts. Although reposts are much more annoying as I am unaware of their existence or how they are being interacted with.

>if on principle, do you think there is a way for these blogs to appropriately interact with non kink blogs, or should they not follow non kink?
Again I don't really have a problem with them following me it's more about how they distribute images of me personally.

>What have and what can you do about it, like a "please don't reblog to porn sites" message, have you filed a report on an account, etc.
In descriptions of my photos I have definitely asked porn blogs not to reblog but it doesn't seem to help. People delete captions or don't read it or just don't care. I will usually ask them to remove my image or if they don't have messaging open/don't respond I block them. Beyond that I don't know that there is much you can do. Plus it is the internet so the only thing you can REALLY do about it is just not post.
>>
>>9154586
>how do you find out about these blogs, do they interact with you or draw attention to themselves or do you have to check each of your new followers?
I check my followers if I have a sudden influx of followers and check the notes on any popular selfies. They don't usually out themselves as porn blogs except for VERY rarely.
>What about it specifically bothers you, that they just follow you on principle, or are they also doing things like reblogging you when they mostly reblog kink, messaging you, stealing your photos or adding kink tags when they reblog you?
I don't want to know about some rando's sex habits and I don't want to know about some random asshole jerking off to a selfie/photo that wasn't intended to be sexual. I don't care if they do it, but I don't fucking want to know about it.
>if on principle, do you think there is a way for these blogs to appropriately interact with non kink blogs, or should they not follow non kink?
If your blog is primarily NSFW/porn content, you shouldn't really be following non-porn blogs on it. Like, make your fucking kink blog a sideblog if you don't want to limit yourself to the porn crowd but most people don't want to see that shit. I wouldn't care so much if 90% of them weren't dickpics for their avatar and graphic porn for their header.
>What have and what can you do about it, like a "please don't reblog to porn sites" message, have you filed a report on an account, etc.
I just block them once I find them. They probably won't listen if I ask them to take down a reblog, and no one gives a fuck if you have "don't reblog to porn pages!" posted on your pictures because porn blogs are either run by bots (which is most of them) or people with absolutely no consideration for others (considering the majority of the content on those blogs are stolen from actual porn actors/actresses and then redistributed which is ugh. really questionable.)

A week or so ago some anon in lolita general was wondering what happened to me since i had stopped blogging and my last post discussed depression. If you anon are reading this thread, I updated.
>>
>>9154648
I actually went and checked your blog when I saw the title of this thread! Welcome back to blogging and thanks for thinking of me!
>>
>>9154708
Haha, aww, thanks for thinking of me. I'm probably going to start blogging again, since the Internet has not been very interesting as of late and there's only so much i can craft.
>>
>>9154513
Fame really only makes people hate you.
Look at how people talk about anyone in the entertainment industry. There are entire websites and discussion boards dedicated to hating famous people.
>>
>follow someone on tumblr because I like their crafts
>ends up the person reblogs 95% SJW crap which isn't my cup of tea
>unfollow her
>now tumblr is spamming even more of her stuff on my feed

What the fuck tumblr. I know I unfollowed her because there's a big 'follow' link right next to her name.

I'm not interested in even 10% of the stuff tumblr is spamming me with. It's not even tagged. Why the fuck is tumblr still spamming me with her crap?
>>
>>9154827

Isn't there also an "x" next to her stuff? Keep clicking on that and tumblr algorithmn should eventually figure out you don't want anymore posts from her.

I usually go through 2-3 paages of any tumblrs before following to avoid this kind of issue. Doesn't really help when they start out sane then do a slow slide over the next six months into some weird annoying shit tho, I guess.
>>
>>9154586

I've started checking new followers and block any porn or sissy tumblrs. Harder to decide on are the "sensual" blogs that don't neccessarily show outright porn or fetish, just a lot of skin.

The biggest issue that bothers me is consent. The way these people simply reblog or repost things suggest they seem to think they're entitled to stick their dicks/strap-ons into anything and anyone, and apparently you can't say "no". Honestly it's creating a pretty bad image for their kink in general, the number of sites that are outright ignoring (or deleting) the "please do not to reblog to porn sites" messages has more or less cemented the impression that they're assholes who don't give a shit about consent.

Following that, if you really need to run a kink site, I'd say your best bet is to compartmentalize, restrict your kink to your kink blog, and only interact with non-kink blogs with non-kink blogs.
>>
>how do you find out about these blogs, do they interact with you or draw attention to themselves or do you have to check each of your new followers?
I don’t get tons of new followers daily so when I see that “daddyslilgurlzxoxo” or "fucktitscunt" just followed me, that gets my attention.
>What about it specifically bothers you, that they just follow you on principle, or are they also doing things like reblogging you when they mostly reblog kink, messaging you, stealing your photos or adding kink tags when they reblog you?
Reblogging with added kink tags is the worst but has fortunately only happened to me a handful of times. Call me a kink-shaming prude, but I don’t like people involving me in porn stuff in general and find the ddlg and sissy kinks particularly reprehensible.
>if on principle, do you think there is a way for these blogs to appropriately interact with non kink blogs, or should they not follow non kink?
Keep your kink blog to kink spaces, and make a non-kink blog for interactions with regular users.
>What have and what can you do about it, like a "please don't reblog to porn sites" message, have you filed a report on an account, etc.
I mostly just block and report if I see them reblog my posts with creepy tags. Not sure what else to do about it.

Pretty much everyone is on tumblr for blogging. Is there really anywhere else...

What kind of posts do you like most? Coords, photoshoots, lifestyle, how-to's, ext?
>>
>>9155552
Seems more like micro blogging in that most people just post and reblog images, as opposed to writing entries like back on livejournal.
I don't see that stuff getting passed around nearly as much as photos of anything really.
>>
>Who are your favourite lolitas/oujis/EGAs to follow?
fannyrosie
totentanzdandy
misslillith
lovelylor (not much lolita anymore)
technotropism
mintkismet (kind of inactive now)

Damn I need to follow more people.

>Also do you think there's any point in starting a non-tumblr lolita blog? I've seen so many start up and get no recognition, mostly because everything has been said already. So unless you have the closet of Milkyfawn, is there any point?

I think it'd be nice. What is your goal? Do you only want recognition or efame? It takes time for a nice blog to get popular. Half the battle is producing a steady flow of Original Content. I'm always down for more lolita blogs, but I understand that for the amount of work it'd take to run a quality one, not many would be up for it.
>>
>>9154525
I wasn't getting then for a while, despite seeing everyone posting about them. Recently I've had a few follow me, so I blocked them immediately. Gothic lolita probably flys under the radar of dd/lg more so than sweet, so those kinds of blogs haven't been a huge problem.

>>9154586
Porn blogs don't actually bother me on principal. But I haven't really been targeted by them so they haven't affected me as much as they clearly have other people. I block ones that follow me since they seem to be mostly ads.

>>9155552
Before Tumblr, a lot of blogs were lifestyle blogs. There's still the lolita blog carnival or whatever. Personally, I like informative lolita blogs (the stuff Fyeahlolita has written about lolita history and trends are really interesting).
>>
For ouji blogs,
viscountnoir
alastairscarborough
kira-ouji
xharox
cencat
>>
>>9155591
Thanks for the list!
>What is your goal
Well recognition would be nice, I'm not saying I want efame but it'd be kind of great to have people actually read my stuff and care, I guess. I don't have enough time to make a quality one with pictures and that, it'd be mostly writing unfortunately. Maybe it's for the best that I don't bother.
>>
I use tumblr mostly for keeping my lolita/larme/jfash/decor inspiration organized. Its nice to have a collection of pretty pictures to look at when I'm trying to start a new outfit or project or something. I'll also share coords, crafts, and new purchases but i don't have many followers so I don't grt much attention.
I've recently started a blogspot for me to keep track of things I've learned, my ideas, items I want to buy, plans I have, etc. It's better for me to use blogspot for this because my tumblr is too crowded with reblogged pictures, so I have trouble finding what I'm looking for or get distracted or something, especially since I can't really be bothered to be very specific or consistent with tagging on tumblr.
I don't really expect to get much attention for it since I'm kind of a novice in all the things I blog about. Its fun though!! I like looking ay my own entries and I'm excited to have months worth of stuff to go through once I've been at it for a while.

Thank you for answering! It seems like there's definitely a spectrum of behavior and I have been lucky to not to experience some parts of it (or didn't notice it).

The way I have found out about them is either just curiously looking through new followers for similar content (which I now do on my personal device or at home... so I guess in a way these blogs simply following and liking exposes me to NSFW content IF I participate in unfiltered follower interaction, but I sort of see exposure to unwanted content when you follower-browse as an expected annoyance or risk), or like >>9155085, obvious account names.

I personally draw the line at DMs, replies, and tags of a sexual or kink nature, reposting (of any kind, because even innocently intended, it's against TOS and you remove their avenue to imply consent or request to remove it), and reblogging when you mainly reblog kink (princess surrounded by wangs) but have only seen this happen to friends.
I wonder if it could have even been backlash for the "please don't reblog to porn blogs", I hope not.

>mfw have many sissy followers but they only follow and Like my posts, or reblog to aesthetic-only side blogs

So I'll post my two blogs

warning: they're lightly dd/lg blogs
>>
So, for traditional blogs, how frequently is the ideal posting rate? I schedule all my posts ahead, I ill write several on a weekend then space them out because I don't have the time/inclination to blog during the week. Currently I space them six days apart and just wanted to know if anyone has any opinions on what frequency is best?
>>
>>9159888
When I was blogging I posted once a week at a regular date and time, so readers would know when to expect updates. You could post more often if you have enough content for it.
