I made one for Nana when I was going to cosplay her. I actually wound up doing a more casual one instead of dressy casual and opted for a 50s style pink dress with cute pearls, a pearl hair clip for hold back her bangs to the side like she usually does, white frill short socks with pink shoes, a white cardigan, and a pink and white satchel purse.

Both are super cute, but I found my second idea worked out better in the long run.

I tried my hand at this because I love this outfit of Ritsuko's. It turned out like a summery casual office lady.

I have them and they look good when paired with the right stuff, but everyone asks how they do that like you literally put two different legs of stockings. The American apparel ones are good and opaque, but the white is their off cream color cause wheat or something.

I knew the outfit you were talking about before I even looked at which post you replied to. Was she wearing that outfit when she planned on running into Mamoru? If so, maybe she wanted to come off as mature?

Either way, I love how the Sailor Moon anime changed the girls' civilian outfits. I'm so used to seeing characters in the same outfit(s) for episodes on end so it was refreshing to see the variety of clothing they wore.

Ive always hated this whole photoshoot. Everything looks awful compared to the anime. Nothing is even right except the jean jacket. Even that is a stretch.

I don't mind the off parts. I look at it as a sort of real clothing found today kind of thing.
Going 1 to 1 is straight up cosplay and this looks like more of a "Hey if they were running around today and had the same taste this is what they would have picked out."

Imo it really depended on the outfit. Some of hers that were off were just enough to still look good. Others just straight up didn't work.
