People were flocking to them because of course but up close, the construction was really bad. One girl was some sort of bee (I'm not familiar with Pokemon so forgive me) and it looked like she made the base out of newspaper, painted it, and used black tape for the stripes. Tape was falling off and it was attached with some wonky belt.

Oh stop complaining, I stayed as a drow all day Friday and Saturday. It was hot yeah but well worth it. Even took a walk from our hotel, the Marriott Inner Harbor, to the CVS down by the USS Torsk, probably between 1/4 to 1/2 a mile each way. My best stories from Otakon this year are from that walk.

A friend of mine spent so much time on his Judge Gabronth costume I figured he'd wear it all weekend. In the end he only wore it for several hours on Friday and I never saw him in it. I razzed him a bit for not wearing it more, but it was in a way that friends do to each other. I razz him for not wearing Gabronth, he razzed me for basically going in black face, hes black himself and had a good laugh. I completely understand why he didn't wear his costume more though.

I love Otakon but I haven't been for a while and though I really wanted to go this year I had to cancel in the end.

I was expecting the last Otakon in Baltimore to be something special and full of fantastic cosplays but from the pictures it looks like it was rather sad and empty.

They actually just added a Metro Bus that tuns From King Street Metro to Nationals harbour. It takes less then 15 minutes and costs $1.75 each way. If someone is staying in a hotel on Route 1 in Alexandria there is also rEX bus that runs up and down Route 1 however it's hours of operation are between 5am and 10pm. I've done Uber and Lyft from my house (I live not too far off of Route 1) to the National Harbour more then once and those were $15 and look less then 20 minutes. I live about twice as far as a lot of the hotels listed too.
