So how was lagc??? was it shit like always?
Who going to midlands MCM and super comic con.

Yea, sure.

im gonna enter it for the shits and giggles m8s

Anyone know how the saturday masquerade went?
I know some shitty ass cosplays were entered, but I haven't seen any pics as of yet.

Real talk, where the bloody hell do you people buy Cosplay fabrics here? There are literally no proper fabric stores anywhere. *just moved to the UK*
>>
>>8852455
online, or goldhawk road.
>>
>>8852455
I buy online. My local fabric store doesn't sell any stretch fabrics and charges £7 for a meter of polycotton so I don't really have a choice unless I travel to London.
>>
>>8852455
If there's an abakhan near you I'd definitely recommend them. They sell a lot of their fabric by the weight so it's a lot cheaper than on the roll.
>>
>>8852455
Online and from the local market, which has a few fabric places in it, always best to check f there's a fabric stall in your local market.
>>
>>8852354
I live in the Midlands, whereabouts is this? Might enter it too if that's the bar they are setting lmao.
>>
>>8852480
rugby library on the 20th feb
>>
>>8852234
Are there any active comms in the Midlands?
>>
>>8852455
If you're in the midlands, go for Barrys Fabrics, The Rag Market and Fancy Silk Store. In Birmingham city center just outside the bull ring.
>>
>>8852497
seconded
>>
>>8852455
The UK is big, give a city and people might be able to be more helpful. London is immense for fabric shopping, but each major city will have it's own hidden gems.
>>
>>8852516
>The UK is big
Compared to where?
>>
>>8852361
Only like 2 people signed up before hand. They were begging for entrants the day before and at the con itself, even scrapped the skit requirement. They only just got enough people to run it. Demorafairy cosplay won.
>>
>>8852557
Is she doing LSCC masq too?

>>8852483

>>
>>8852557
Got any pics of what she entered as?
Havent seen any on her personal fb or her page?
I'm friends w some people who were runners up and had bought their props. So clearly the standards weren't the highest.
>>
>>8852632
It was her chandelure but without the facepaint
>>
>>8852634
?? And that won.
Fucking hell,
know any of the other runner ups other than the shit tier lux and ashe that taobao'd most of their cosplay?
>>
>>8852639
Wasn't there myself but Minachi's Cosplay Haven was the Ashe and she made her whole cosplay despite its questionable quality.
>>
>>8852639
there was a space marine and some god awful singer
>>
>>8852639
There was also Teraana(sp?) but I don't know who she was cosplaying as
>>
>>8852648
I know for a fact she bought her bow. The rest of it she did make, the Lux however I think didnt.
>>
>>8852455
Seconding this, just moved to east London. I know there's loads of places in London but I have no idea where to even start. Does anyone have any recommendations?
>>
>>8852677
Goldhawk Road in London, it has about 10 fabric shops and definitely worth a look around. It's right next to the tube stop as well so easy to get to.
>>
>>8852677
wathamstow market super cheap
>>
>>8852571
Doubtful as she doesn't seem to have anything good that fits inside the rules

anyone see the masquerade today? was it the shit show it usually is?
>>
>>8852711

>>
>>8852746
by having decent pictures for once
>>
>>8852746
Can you believe he took a picture, using a CAMERA, then did some editing to- and I can't believe this myself- make it look nice.
It was edited slightly diffrent because he's doing the awful crime of experimenting with his style, what a foul cunt. Should learn that people aren't allowed to improve or change.

In other news cosplayers are now not allowed to cosplay characters that have already been cosplayed as it's just stealing from the original.
>>
>>8852757
has anyone actually got these pictures to show or
>>
>>8852764
omg he used gels must instantly be copying from 'x' photographer.
>>
>>8852772
Why hasn't x-photographer claimed copyright on gels yet? Or stopped the sale of them to the public? It's awful how kyle is now copying x-photographer for using gels.
>>
>>8852772
this is actually a great photo, editing and all which seems to be what he struggles with. Kudos Kyle
>>
>>8852455

I literally just said he was using gels and implying the use of it wasn't ripping off Matt as almost everyone uses them ?? I didn't say they were good, in fact this was the only decent photo he uploaded. Also yeah, I just ripped it off Facebook, you'd think if I was Kyle I would have the saved file on my computer. Good logic there friend.
>>
>>8853706
You would be rubbish in the police. obviously not him because he didn't use thisismyfile.jpg when uploading it anonymously

anyone going to LSCCthis year?
>>
Opinion on Kerry making what seems to be a large bulk of her ECG finals cosplay at Artyfakes?
>>
>>8855928
Disqualified surely
>>
>>8855934
You say that but the props for the qualifiers were made there. And Tabby was then one of the judges.
>>
>>8855934
They're going to be anyway. They were told they would be if they did a stupid skit at the final, thus they're getting disqualified
>>
>>8855934
Suppose someone should just tell them and see what ecg say.
>>
>>8856022

No point, if it looks great on stage all they have to do is not let it place and boom not only do they not have to have the drama of DQing someone but then they also get to play up to the big/nice looking costumes.
>>
>>8855928
I'm just glad they're not entering LSCC again I swear if I see that skit one more time.
>>
>>8852234
The cosplay world qualifier contest at LAGC made me so mad. There were only like 5 entries but the girl who won I don't think deserved it at all.
I don't know who won the talent show because I had to leave early but if it wasn't the guy with the harmonica it was a fix.
>>
>>8856341
who did you think deserved it then? they were all as equally shit as each other.
>>
>>8856341
>it was a fix
New guy, meet UK cosplay, UK cosplay, meet New Guy. He's very new.
>>
>>8854552

Yep. Tabitha Lyons ain't though. She's been a fixture at LSCC for years, to the extent where she was almost their cosplay mascot. This year, though, she wasn't invited as a showcase cosplay guest. At the last minute, LSCC contacted her about being a guest, possibly because somebody else dropped out. Madam threw a hissy fit because she was being treated like sloppy seconds and told them to go fuck themselves.

I guess madam's outgrown small cons like LSCC and is now focussing on major events like Wigan Comic Con or going to cons abroad.
>>
>>8857223
The fuck, seriously? some of us would love to guest there, some of us even make our own cosplays without daddys help. Not bitter nope...
>>
>>8856341
No one else really deserved it either though. I think she was the best overall, her costume and skit were both pretty good. Better than the rest anyway.
I'm surprised more people didn't enter, there were a few from the Sunday masquerade that maybe would have done OK
>>
>>8857340
It's held at an Anime League event though. I wouldn't mind entering myself but everything I've heard about LAGC makes me hesitant to go.
>>
>>8857361
same. Maybe in the future I'd like to enter but it's the knowledge of attending an AL event that puts me off
>>
>>8857361
>>8857522
Don't go. Winning the competition isn't worth the self torture of attending the event.
I went for the first time this year and I don't plan on ever attending again. AL are an embarrassment to the con scene and cosplay community.
>>
>>8857237
Are you really this surprised about Tabitha. Close friends have talked about not wanting to cosplay with her now since she attracts so much drama. That's telling enough really.
>>
>>8852567
I'm not too far away, might go for shits and gigs.
>>
>>8854552
I'll be there. It's my first UK con.
>>
>>8857223
maybe she got pissed that she wasn't invited to judge the championship last year, as she was 1st year
>>
>>8857593
You're right anon I shouldn't be, plus when you so far up your own arse and don't really like cosplay then yep not really surprising
>>
>>8857867
Because she hadn't made a single costume in a year and is also awful
>>
>>8852711
Come on man, it's not his first time. He's constantly copying people. Look through his album. It changes style at every convention. Just copies whatever who ever is popular, getting likes. I agree hes doing what MattEleven does. But he calls it experimenting. Sure whatever man.
>>
>>8858002
He stole the idea from fashion bloggers. Awful that keeping up with trends stuff.

But cosplayers keep doing it too. New costumes for every convention and just going with what is popular and copying friends.
>>
What's Friday night like at Telford MCM?

Getting there early and wondering if there will be many weebs already there
>>
>>8857534
Don't bother anon, just like you, everyone ignores the warnings about AL on /cgl. We all know AL are terrible, we all warn people, but the only way people will learn is if they all attend and realise how bad it truly is first hand.
>>
>>8856015
Is that actually true?
>>
>>8857223 I Don't believe that for a second. Why would LSCC invite her at the last second when they already have such a great line up. Sounds like Tabitha is just bitter that they never invited her and is trying to save face.
>>
>>8860015
She's had her day and people have finally realised she doesn't even enjoy cosplay, just the e fame that she thinks she gain from it.
>>
>>8859556

People are over-reacting. Some photographer got moody about not getting a press pass more than 10 days before the tragedy and people are acting like it was the guy's fault.
>>
>>8861671
Name and shame. What makes that photographer so special he should get press pass, does he shoot for specific publication only? Does he shoot for newspaper/television, or just a guy with camera just like 90% of the ones that attend comic cons with a camera?
>>
>>8860726
Her popularity has dropped after she started going crowd funding and expecting people to fund her when shes got her dads business capable of doing it. She doesnt spend time actually rewarding her fans but instead stream for money, travel round the world trying to get friendly with more popular cosplayers at Istanbul. Its so cringy thats why non of the uk community wants to be associated with her, but desu she doesnt care enough about anyone unless it benefits her company. Just a business riding on the cosplay scene.
>>
Officially a week till LSCC. Is anyone actually going to finish their costumes? I don't think one person entering has yet that is pathetic
>>
>>8857223
Can't imagine they'd actually invite her back after she built herself an actual pedestal over other guests last year and still had the smallest queue. She's such a nobody these days.
Her comments about 'last minute invite' reek of desperation in the face of humiliation when people ask if she's invited and she doesn't want to admit that she's not worth the space anymore.
>>
>>8862365
So who is entering then?
>>
>>8862413
Hellen alice and MegaBethbob
Odd Toggs
Danny " The assassin guy'
Captain Amelia
Not to sure who else

Is it really being a dick not attending a memorial of someone you didn't know? I mean the staff all should have went but its not like most of the attendees knew her
>>
>>8855928
Organiser probably knows nothing about it. Making all your costume with the assistance of a semi-professional shop is both poor-show and borderline cheating. Doesn't surprise me though, when they did it at qualifier and no one thought it was dodgy to have Tab judge it. Didn't Kenny throw his prop off the stage? That's supposed to be disqualification too right?
>>
>>8862712
to be fair, Kenny and Kerry should have been disqualified for the prop throw, but since there was only one other group at qualifiers and their performance was a train wreck they didn't really have a choice
>>
>>8862712
>>8862808
I swear I remember that they asked someone if they could throw it and it was allowed.

LSCC is next weekend
What are your cosplay plans?
>>
>>8863027
I was there too, but I live in Telford. For me, the worst part of going to comic cons, is not knowing what to cosplay as. I don't like going if I'm not dressed up even a little, so I just went as Frank West, with sunglasses and camera.

I took a couple pics of the cosplayers, but didn't buy much.

Maybe I'll have figured something out for Birmingham.

>>
>>8863027

Thanks mate, was nice to meet you too, thought your EA cosplay was hilarious!

The thing with LSCC is they can lose the venue if they have anime stuff. That's not an issue for other cons.
>>
>>8866066
That seems like an odd condition, though i don't know much about LSCC
>>
>>8866086
MCM have an exclusivity contract with the Excel meaning no similar event can be held there. LSCC found a loophole with them JUST being western comics based. It's why the cosplay competition is called the 'Costume Championship' because MCM hold the rights to everything in the Excel to do with their cons, so no 'cosplay', anime, film or tv.

He was trying to bully a free ticket off one of the nicest girls you could ever meet by threatening her and calling her unprofessional and throwing a big tantrum when he is not even remotely press. The last thing she needed was any more stress and it is a tragedy what happened.

These guys get a camera and take a few shitty pictures and think they are a big deal and want a free ride.

Fuck you you cheap cunt. Your pictures are shit and you're annoying as fuck.
>>
>>8870675
Hi Chiquitita
>>
>>8870705
Nope. She's not the only person pissed at him. Many people knew what happened and he could have offered some kind of apology but he has us thought of himself and pretended nothing happened
>>
>>8870592
This is going around FB mostly AL people posting it
>>
>>8870778
What happened at Hyper Japan?
>>
Becca's death was a result of her epilepsy, anyone who took the time to ask her about how she doing with it, would know it had been getting worse for her. She didn't die because she had an argument no matter how much of an entitled asshat tog Ali is. You can be salty as hell but no one should be accused of someone's death by disease.

Since she's died all Chiquitita has done is used her death to bolster her own ego and pretend she was such a great friend and gave a shit, when anyone ALfag enough knows full well that she just used Becca for her free passes much like everyone else.
>>
>>8870833
epilepsy can be worsened by stress. We can't ask her so we don't know if anything caused it.
She was a lovely girl and was nice and kind to everyone. AND THIS CUNT.

Saying he's "Disgusted" at her for doing her job. For handing out PRESS PASSES to FUCKING PRESS and not guys with camera and little skill.
It's common knowledge that he and tog friends beg for PPs because they are too cheap to buy tickets and think they are deserving of not needing to pay.
Apparently being Ali who is loud and obnoxious guy taking pictures of girls half his age is enough to get you to places for free. This is the man that goes out of his way to make people uncomfortable.
No one follows Ali to conventions. Only other photographers trying to pull the same shit.

What happened was a fucking tragedy and I'm still upset by it and I only met her irl a few times.

And this guy decides to emotionally blackmail her because he thinks he's too good to buy a ticket and conventions should want him.

You see cosplayers asking and begging to be guests at conventions. This is the same.

Apart from Ali's behaviour is poor for a 40 something man trying to get into a room filled with half naked teenagers.
>>
>>8870833
They were best friends. I can't see how doing this does her any good or is about ego but twist it how you want anon.

Big Guy Slim isn't to blame but people should know what low shit he tries to pull
>>
Asking to be a guest or press isn't wrong, but I was under the impression you had to present that you could either provide content (by way of being a guest who is a cosplayer) or provide media coverage (not just of scantily clad girls) and traffic from wherever you post to.

Appeal a decision once maybe if you feel really strongly but don't start emotionally blackmailing people who are just doing their job.

Fucks sake take a hint.
>>
>>8869775
No shit. He isn't as bad as everyone makes out to be.

As always, never believe everything you hear on 4chan. It is 98% blown out of proportion.
>>
>>8871645
He just loves himself is all. Valentine is basically just David Brent as a cosplayer. His panel consisted of him boasting about owning his own company and being a cool boss who shows off his cosplay props to his employees who all think he is great.
>>
>>8870523

I'm a no body in the con scene but having a go at modelling Jetstream Sam's Masamune with the intention of 3D printing it.

Thought I would post it because even if it's not great it's still better than 90% posted in the britfag threads.
>>
>>8871970
to be fair that was over a year ago, and she has vastly improved since then. you can see in her last makeup test for it.
>>
>>8872125
It's going to be pretty amazing once 3d printing becomes more accessible to cosplayers.

So long as the material is durable enough that is.

I've posted this before about him who shot with my friend and during the shoot he was asking really personal questions and made her really uncomfortable. So now the truth is finally out, I hope that slimeball never gets free ride from any events.

That is blackmail, pure and simple. Big Guy Slim just can't handle the fact he didnt get a PP? What an entitle fucker to personally message her and take it on a personal level? It's also the only MCM that has an authentic Goodsmile booth, which means 110% authentic figs.

>>
>>8873859
As someone from Scotland I would say not to go to MCM Scotland.

It's handy to see local friends but feels like it's full of tweeny weebs.

And the cosplays are pretty shit, maybe a handful of good ones.

Also a lot of the Scottish "cosfamous" have mediocre skills, it's the lesser known creators that have the best cosplays and attitudes.

So me and my friends were talking about doing a pop up café or something at conventions in the future.

But i have a bad feeling that we'd get wiped out before we even start thanks to it being competition to convention centres own hilariously overpriced food.

Thanks, in London (if it's not raining) it's super easy as its just right there out front

>>
>>8875797

>>8875814

>>
>>8875814
Was amazed the elphaba got through... The singing was awful.

That said, why did so many people decide not to pre record their audio this time around?

And way too many dance skits. It got old really fast
>>
>>8875868
The mic didn't work properly so he had to try and sing louder and lower because they messed the levels
>>
>>8875874
Yeah - not her fault and the judges understood that. She had a really good costume though
>>
>>8875868
Only 3 live skits
>>
>>8875911

4 I think! There was a guy who hasn't asked for s microphone trying to talk over his music.

I understand there were microphone issues, and the costume was gorgeous, just I think it would have been better if they'd prerecorded to avoid issues.

Takes a lot of courage to sing live though
>>
Who actually qualified? I had to leave before they announced the winners.
Please say the tracer qualified as that was genuinely the best overwatch cosplay I've ever seen.
>>
>>8875949
Hardly LSCC standard of detail though. It was really good but would be best in the open
>>
>>8875191
Yes kind of given the photo was taken the night before the event. Same venue as MCM but much smaller and was annoying in that it was closer to the rear entrance to the Excel and not the front.

Only real plus to this event is better photography opportunities (no over crowding, better space for background) unless you also really like comics as an additional.

I did take photos, but need to process those.

Unfortunately news today is that it was raining so outside photos weren't practical assuming you want to take a decent photo. Also heard stink about the singing contest while in The Fox, but I was not particularly interested.
>>
>>8876031
what stink?
>>
>>8876035
Something about the singing. I didn't listen much to it, but it could be it was either difficult or the performances was crap.

I don't really know for myself as I didn't attend that part of the event, but there were people talking about it in The Fox.
>>
There's 400 decibel music in the Fox, come on down if you want your ear drums pierced.
>>
>>8876072
I heard that and only stuck around for two pints. Not sure if the DJ is a poser, doing a crap job or is a complete idiot.

Regardless I didn't stick around and am presently listening to the OPs and EDs for LOGH at home (15 minutes away from Excel), much better sound.
>>
>>8876079
A mixture of all 3 it seems. It's quieter now at least. There's a ton of security on tonight as well. Has been for the entire event, there are sniffer dogs at every entrance and more guards than usual.

>>
>>8877270
Eh? Why are you replying this to me? I know she made the costume because she put up loads of WIP of the cut out white and gold and as it went on on her personal FB. Same as she said the bow had arrived from taobao along with most of the accessories and weapon for Lux.

I can't word out if you're trying to say she didn't make the costume either. Or just making conversation.

>>8877654

This was boring as fuck. Please tell me she did something more interesting for LSCC.
>>
>>8877681
Didn't see sunday but her saturday skit was the backstory of tracer which was alright.

Can you enter a costume that you entered in another competition though? I thought it was one of those 'have to make a new costume.'

>>8877549
it was as if they didn't want someone copying what the winner of last years' decided to do. Funny that.
>>
>>8877769
Don't think there's a rule against it. Shirak cosplay entered her ECG finals cosplay too.
>>
>>8877769
I'm not sure if it's a rule or just frowned upon but generally you don't enter a costume if you've won with it somewhere else. As they didn't win before, it's ok.
>>
>>8877769
There's no rule about costumes being eligible apart from it has to be Western media, and made by you.
>>
>>8877769
The winner of last year was prerecorded though. Singing live is a completely different matter
>>
>>8877769
She did really well to get around the mic and music problems both days. I'm not a musicals fan but singing live is tough and you could see she was giving it her all
>>
>>8877769
So just copying something direct from the game is better?
>>
>>8877893
... Well they're not copying the idea of last years winner, which was my point. Whether it was live or not (as there was that Fiona as well,) is irrelevant.
Whilst the costumes were brilliant, the ideas of the skit (or the ones I saw) where exactly the same as Ross'. It was almost as unoriginal as the 'funny' dance skits.
Though massive props to the elpheba for singing live, even if it was mega pitchy.
>>
>>8877925
were any skits funny?
>>
>>8877925
There's only so much you can do with a cosplay skit. At least they're being ambitious!
I'd take a polished musical skit over yet another fight scene any day.
>>
>>8877938
They're both kind of worn out. Unless you can actually dance, actual fight or otherwise do crazy ass flips and tricks around the stage they've kind of hit a ceiling.

>>
>>8879159
Depends what you count as comedy. There were so many 'cut to a funny dance song' skits. So dull
>>
>>8879193
Anything that was intended as comedy. Anything good? Any videos online yet
>>
>>8879197
There was a killer croc 'party croc', a dancing King of the Dead from LoTR, Warcraft singing Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, Just Can't Wait to be Queen with Margaery Tyrell and Cersei plus a few others. The Fiona actually made me smile. It was quite comical. The Kili made me laugh too. She did a Shakespeare monologue with a joke at the end.
>>
>>8879256
The Kili smashed it. Deserved 1st place. The detail on the costume was something else. She was speaking live too.
>>
>>8879256
fiona only copied what happens in the musical, not like she tried to do something original
>>
>>8879287
True but she was damned professional. Not everyone would be able to act/dance it that well. The facial expressions and body movements are where all the comedy lies.

It also may not have been original but that skit wouldn't have looked out of place in the actual show. If we're talking accuracy, she smashed it.
>>
>>8879289
Brah, she's not gonna fuck you
>>
>>8879289
>>8879287

So would you rate Fiona using the recorded audio and skit straight from the show or Elphaba singing live doing her own thing? They were the only two musical skits as far as I can remember and really differet
>>
>>8879293
I liked them both. Elphaba focussed on the singing. She acted but the skit was about her voice. Fiona didn't sing live so the acting and dancing was more important. They were very different even though they were both musicals.
>>
>>8879289
If I'm correct the person who was Fiona does a lot of theatre acting in real life. It would have been embarrassing if she hadn't been good at acting.
>>
>>8879299
Well then good on her for using her talents xD
I've heard all the entrants sew a lot in real life. It would've been kind of embarrassing if their costumes weren't good too...
>>
>>8879301
It's the same as if some were professional sewers. They would have a foot up for the sewing but lack in the skit
>>
>>8879317
Is she a professional? She seemed quite young. Probably more of a talented amateur, I guess.
>>
>>8879263
I was hoping Kili would get 1st myself. Good that they placed but should have been 1st imo.
>>
>>8879319
I mean that some of the others have professional experience and you would expect them to have a boost in that area the way she has the theater boost

I think they mean there were better costumes that didn't make top 10
>>
>>8879426
The mark was 50/50 performance/costume so the Fiona's performance had to count for something.
>>
>>8879426
Yeah but it's 50/50 performance and costume. I think she deserved to be in the top 10
>>
>>8879428
>>8879427
the fan club arrived.
>>
>>8879431
Try performing a tap dance on stage and maybe people would start agreeing with you too.
>>
>>8879439
Got a video?
>>
>>8879442
Don't seem to be any up. I guess youtube will start getting some soon
>>
>>8879439
Has anyone else watched her con vlogs? Because I find them pretty hilarious, Spooner references and everything.
>>
>>8879449
Oh link want to see
>>
First video I've found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29OGV4a0iU8
Kili i liked it
>>
>>8879449
if this is not you typing these it's gotta be one of your friends white knighting on here
>>
>>8879293
There were 3
>>
>>8879256
Was the Warcraft guy the same one who was the UK Eurocosplay rep last year? "Warcraft meets Frozen" seems like a very specific combination.
>>
>>8880151
Yep - same guy
>>
What else had Dracula competed in before? I've seen it around a lot. Same with the King of the dead
>>
>>8880282

I think he only entered ECG with that cosplay
>>
>>8880354
>>8880354
>she
shirakcosplay
>>
>>8880773
sorry I didn't know who they were and they full body costume makes them appear male
>>
>>8880799
It's cool, just providing future reference. It is a convincing costume.
>>
any pictures from lscc?
>>
>>8879498
she should have won IMO. Her costume was far more detailed than the Tracer
>>
>>8881492
Same as most people in top 10
>>
>>8879498
>still had shitty makeup as a beard
From a distance is looked okay then when you got close it was shit.
>>
SZ vid is boring, with all the same people as usual in it.
>>
>>8882022
It's not even subtle anymore, they only include people that will get them the maximum likes all of the time. So much for representing the community.
>>
>>8882035
There was a moment on the Saturday of the con when I saw that SZ had a line of people waiting to be filmed by them. Not a single one of them made the final cut. But I will say that none of them had a good cosplay so if I'd been SZ I would have cut them too.
>>
>>8882040
They sometimes do a second video with the extra clips
>>
sz are going same way as artyfakes. only give a shit about likes and popularity.
>>
>>8882022
>>8882035
You think so? I thought there was quite a few new faces, or faces I hadn't seen in their videos before.
>>
>>8882022
They actually asked to film me, and Im usually a regular in their videos, but didn't make this cut, they seem to have wasted video time on using longer shots on certain people, video is still boring.
>>
>>8882215
I liked the mixture of longer shots to break it up a bit, didn't feel like there was any favouritism going on there
>>
>>8876408
god this is badly done
>>
>>8882305
like all the "ME FIRST" cosplays always are
this is just a ME FIRST video
>>
what was helen alice's skit like?
>>
>>8882086
What other reason is there to do them?
>>
>>8882317
It was okay. Her dress was beautiful but the whole thing was a bit lacklustre
>>
>>8882317
She sang 'I Just Can't Wait to be King' with Game of Thrones lyrics with MegaBethBob as Cersei
>>
>>8882343
the love of it?
>>
>>8882422
This is cosplay, we are all attentionwhores here.
>>
>>8882422
It's clear that SZ really love making their shorts but do the CMVs on the side to keep people watching and get the funding and support for their bigger projects.
>>
>>8882387
>>8882390
any videos?
>>
>>8882431
I can only find the Kili one that was posted and this one

'Sang' she was awful
>>
>>8882475
that bad? was she just a crap singer or was it the same problems as Elphaba?
>>
>>8882479
Crap singer
>>
>>8882479
Elphaba had a nice voice but either couldn't hear herself or didn't know the notes of the song.
Margaery hit most of the notes but didn't sound great.
>>
>>8882482
To be fair the wicked songs are a lot harder. You would have thought she would have rehearsed like a mad man to be perfect
>>
>>8882484
Guess she couldn't hear it then. She was a few notes too low most of the time. Bit jarring
>>
>>8882475
At least their performance was actually entertaining compared to the other 50 million musical skits doing a Kenny and kerry
>>
>>8882482
Cersei didn't sound like she knew it either. just talked instead of singing
>>
>>8882489
someones butthurt
>>
>>8882489
Totally agree. That shit is old. It was hardly funny when they first did it.
>>
>>8882490
The character the cersei was playing doesn't sing
>>
>>8882486
. Not awful considering neither are pros but on stage you cant really hear much anyway so maybe they couldnt hear them selves
>>
>>8882494
Just watched back the original you're right. Just sounded like she was struggling to remember the next word
>>
>>8882493
it caught on
he should feel bad

Though the costume kenny wore was pretty nicely done in person. I expected all his stuff to be photoshopped to look good but it actually looked quite good in real life.
>>
>>8882429
totally agree. I think they still enjoy doing the CMVs but their true passion is in the originals and shorts they do.
>>
>>8882493
The serious scene>unexpected dance sequence>serious ending was 99% of the performances this year
>>
>>8882493
hopefully the "serious to funny dance" skit thing will be done with, now it's been done to death
>>
>>8882499
That's the thing he's actually quite talented, but fucks it all up by being an annoying twat
>>
>>8882509
I reckon it's because people pick a character and realise all the skits they could do are boring.
>>
>>8882511
Entertaining Cosplay skits are hard
>>
>>8882516
Definitely. and boring ones are hard to watch.
>>
>>8882516
>Entertaining Cosplay skits are hard
All cosplay skits are hard
>>
>>8882510
come on senpai that is the entire community
>>
>>8882520
To suffer though, definitely
>>
>>8882534
To write
To learn
To rehearse
To do
>>
>>8882578
Some of them didn't look liked they'd rehearsed much. All skits are hard. They should be. Some people should still work harder.
>>
>>8882508
Don't know how anyone didn't realise that was a dumb idea. All the judges but Kamui and Ross were past ECG winners where a serious skit is the only way to win. They weren't going to appreciate any of the silly skits at lscc.
>>
>>8882469
Both look much better than expected but why do they have diffrent mics?
>>
>>8882486
I heard her rehearsing backstage and she was very good, hit all the notes well, but she sounded so nervous on stage
>>
>>8882752
The mic wasn't on for the first half then suddenly on and really loud then super low again even top lads would be struggling not to shit themselves at that point but she looked a bit green with nerves if you ask me
>>
>>8882737
LSCC get the audio equipment from contractors. Even if people had requested multiple head mics the company only brought one
