I have this JSK as well and one of the problems I have with is that the jabot seems to be too heavy for the bow itself and always drags it down.
Any tips on how to solve this without punching pin holes in the bow and JSK for safety pins?

I wouldn't say it's terrible. I'd definitely still wear it, depending on the price. Plus it'd be easy enough to modify the bodice buttons.

I was also curious about cheaper brand pieces, just stuff that gets priced under $200. I've seen some before, but I neglected to keep track of what the prints were called. I think there was one from IW, and ETC had one, and I think another one I am absolutely spacing on.

Has anyone found any fabrics with that hersheys grid we're so fond of? I'd love to play with one in suede or something texturally interesting.

The fabric is a commercially available one, it's not green toned in person, more of a proper warm chocolate brown and the border doesn't clash so much. I have a bunch I was planning to make some stuff with but never got around to it.

I'm this anon >>8834373 I really did not like that drippy pumpkin cat print. It looks cartoonish and tacky. I was so disappointed when it came out because I liked a lot of pumpkin cat's stuff.
The newer one has such a classy look with the contracting collar and hem, using an all over print, and using the chocolate pattern for a more subtle piece.

Her base wig itself has two colours in it, not one. I think the tails are from a different wig. I wouldn't go so far as to say this is or isn't a trend, looks like she's just having fun doing unexpected things with fashion. You don't always need to follow trends or whatever rulebook when you dress up, so long as the results look good.
