Been in the fashion almost two years now (!!!). I haven't been able to buy much in the past few months due to moving out and school, so unfortunately my wardrobe hasn't been able to grow much, but I've found that circumstances has causes me to become more creative in my coordination. One of my main problems right now is definitely making boring coords, so hopefully in the future I can further improve on that.

Looks a bit similar to these with the cheap bow removed, but not identical. The ones in her pic have a splayed sole (not as hoof-like as the Bodyline ones with the million straps, but more so than these) and I can't see any signs of scallops.

Both are con-related theme coords about four years apart: ditched my replica, lost weight, got a better wig, wore a better wing interpretation, and worked on some posing.

The bows are on her stockings (around her ankles) and on the top of her shoes. I think anon was talking about how the bows really don't go with the crown print and tassles, and the blouse really looks out of place to me.

Personally, I'm also not a huge fan of the cardigan but I think that's just me.

I would maybe suggest swapping the blouse for a bolero or something, because I think blouses rarely look good under short-sleeve OPs (it looks bulky and kind of bunched here), but that's a personal preference. The shoes you're seeing in the GLBs were originally made by BPN if memory serves. The Taobao ones are replicas of those. Demonia made theirs after the BPN ones as well, same as a few of their other designs (which are modelled after Metamorphose and an-ten-na releases; I think someone made a comparison photo between Pleaser/Demonia and the original designs).

Regardless, there are a bunch of brands who make replica versions, including Montreal/TVA and an*tai*na.

BPN's shoes tend to either have a really sharp upward curve at the front end of the platform, or spread "out" so that the sole of the platform is wider than the sole of the upper (as in >>8835040 and pic related, which is the ankle-high version). Replicas tend to be blockier, which is something that they got from brands like an-ten-na and Metamorphose, that have straighter profiles on their platforms. I like the chunkier BPN look, but that's personal preference and all that.

Correct! Reverse image search takes me to Daily Lolita for that one, they're from Montreal (http://daily-lolita.livejournal.com/2359718.html). That was kind of the go-to for replicas in 2007-2008, they did a lot of gothic knock offs from an-ten-na, yosuke and BPN.

Little Chili Lolita Shop (which I think is now dead?) and Refuse to Be Usual carry that brand, but they've jacked the price up over the years. You used to be able to get them for $20 or so, but I think they're up around $80+ after shipping. The quality isn't worth $80 either.

So yeah. an*tai*na is a good enough option (I have four pairs of shoes from them, and one I wore daily for about two years before they started to die), and Demonia should be similar, but I haven't seen their shoes in person in some time.

I have four pairs of An*Tai*Na shoes but the quality varies a bit, the two low-heeled ones I have are really nice quality and very comfy, but the two pairs of boots I have were absolutely not worth the price, wonky construction and the pleather squeaks like a motherfucker. Still trying to develop my style honestly, but I do see improvement.
1.I had bought the full Pink Lemonade set from Meta, threw on some too-small antaina shoes and a Duchess Elodie wig from GLW. Kill me
2. DDC Dress and Tights, AP bag and wristcuffs, DIY headband and Thrifted shoes. I got so much shit for the shoes and I now see why.
3. This is from a local con two-ish weeks ago?? Going for a more mature sweet look now.

I can't find a picture of my first coord with my face, but I didn't have makeup on, didn't do my hair, and I didn't have any hair accessories.

First coord was really terrible with that handmade skirt (lacking the brown ruffles), puffy sleeved office blouse, plain white tights, and ballet flats. If I can recall correctly I received the dress in 2010 but first snapped a pic in 2011. It was not my first attempt at lolita but I have no older pic since I was really young. I was so excited for my first brand piece though, I needed to blog about it asap.
I remember making a satin headbow with small hearts embroidery on it to match and wear at my first con.
The newer outfit is from february, since I've been on a hiatus for a while I have nothing as interesting and more recent.

First outfit- typo, actually that was 2013, the same year Misako Aoki went to the matsuri. I think I was going for the "cosplay lolita" look. The dress was from Taobao and I remember begging my mum to get it for me.

I have two pairs of these and find them to be some of the most comfortable heels I own. They're some of the only ones I can wear to all-day stuff like conventions. 1. the dress - the cut is very unflattering on you and makes you look bloated
2. the wig - in itself it's fine but the twin tails look too cutesy for this gothic coord
3. the hair accessory, which I only noticed while I was typing this comment - is that a black rose? I can barely see it. Unless the accessory in question is really big and obvious (like a bonnet for example), it's not a good idea to wear a black hair accessory with black hair, especially if it's a tiny hair clip. Also regarding accessories, you should lose the cameo (is it a brooch? a choker?), the gold necklace is enough.
Additionally, I don't think those sleeves are doing you any favors. If you want to cover your arms, go for a bolero or a shawl.
I tried to make this brief so I may have overlooked some things.
