That's actually alright. It can be hard to keep the hair cemented down into the bun shape. The nets keep it in control and is hardly noticeable.

I always wish these Moon threads had more discussion instead of photodump but I guess there isn't really anything to say that hasn't already been discussed to death with Sailor Moon.
Ideally, I'd like to discuss sailor fuku techniques and compare our favorites but that never works since we just derail into pleats vs ruffle and pink vs red.

I made this for Halloween and really liked how it turned out. I used Cupcake Cosplay's tutorial with some minor tweaks. I chose a heavy fabric (not necessarily canvas but not poplin either) and I think it made the pleats look better than they usually do with satin skirts.

I know it's not as good as others posted in here but for Halloween I think it came out pretty good.

I'm pretty sure they are twins, one of them is the really good Ryuko. Also yeah their wig styling is usually always fantastic. Nice and fluffy

Ah thanks anon! Maybe it's the bad lighting that I don't like. I did receive a lot of compliments but I browse "Bad XX Threads" often so that's affected my judgement on myself.

The only person I know IRL that cosplays other than myself is my boyfriend and I don't want to make costumes for a bunch of friends just to get recognized at a con.

I've used the Kwik Sew leotard pattern and then just added the extra bits and bobs on. Personally I think satin skirts look really cheap and tacky and I prefer a matte finish so I used a thick cotton for the collar, bows and skirt.

More likely the weight of bag + holding it in a "down" position for an extended period

I've said it in threads before, but if you're prone to veiny hands, or have been carrying heavy props, before you take shots where they'll be a focus, raise them above your heart level and "twinkle fingers" the shit out of them. This makes the veins look much less prominent. If you have dark veins, they'll still show up, but the lumpy, knotty texture won't be as obvious.
