Whoever is editing and story producing this thing sucks at their job. Why is it paced like this? Who's doing the set dressing, an unpaid intern with no design sense? I didn't think it would be as bad as it was going to be based on the commercial, but I didn't hear Audra speak. I couldn't make it past her interview, the secondhand embarrassment was too much. Even having it muted and waiting until the next scene was a bit more than I thought I would be able to handle.

Also, I checked out their store. Most of the stuff seems to be sold out, so I guess this is a new business venture for them. However, I doubt they make most of the clothes they sell. It looked like the stuff you find on those "straight outta Japan" sites. So, low-quality prints and thin material.

Cyril makes all the clothes herself and makes her own patterns. She uses mainly upholstry fabric which is quite heavy duty (and plain heavy) but even if it is not my style I can appreciate the effort she puts in as they are all lined and what not and she really does do it all herself. Like dang for an indy artist with no professional training she does ok. Self taught is the way to go.

I had reservations too at first but after seeing how she handled people being straight up assholes on the show, scripted or not (really, saying she dresses live a 5 year old when others say the exact same thing about lolita fashion is so pot and kettle), plus how she owns up to her other job with pride shows she does have a good head on her shoulders.

This year I modeled for h.Naoto at Sakuracon, and even Naoto-san made fun of me OTL and I had to remain professional. They definitely take the show very seriously which is why they can get feisty I guess? Everyone is under a lot of stress, we are filming for 12 hours a day and we're low budget to boot... but since people barely would talk shit to my face I can't really say. We were interviewed individually. If we were traveling together I would just read a book and zone out. I am the only member of the cast who was a complete wild card everyone else had a previous connection somehow so it didn't seem strange for me to be excluded.
