If that's the worst thing that happens to them that day they're doing alright for chicks.
>>
>>3071
The issue isn't that they're being colored, it's that they're being marketed towards people who will not and cannot take care of them once they grow up and stop being neon and tiny. They're going to get neglected and abandoned if they even survive long enough to grow up.
>>
How does this process work? Is it a spray bottle with food coloring? Is it dunking them in a bucket?

isn't it comforting to live in ignorance?

The Cave is always welcoming to those chained within it.

you take a small needle and inject regular food coloring into the egg, not the baby bird part.

When they get adult feathers they become normal

Neither is america.

There are two continents with america in the name, but no continent just called america.
>>
>>3087

Clearly, you don't understand the American perspective. Outlanders tend to be confused on this because they assume America is a concept defined within linear time at the present.

You were also an Earthling before you knew it. Perhaps that helps.

They're not photoshopped, they're dyed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ErdqeOvjL0

From what I've heard, it's just nontoxic food coloring that doesn't cause harm to them. But apparently there are different methods to dye them, and some of them look pretty rough: >>3077
Also, the biggest problem is that cute baby animals with pretty colors will most likely attract buyers who will not make long-term plans about owning a pet. Basically what this anon said >>3082

I remember buying one as a kid - when he outgrew the red dye though he still ended up being a red rooster. He liked to fly up to the roof of our house and crow.

Turned out they were fighting cock chicks. No idea why they were being sold as novelty pets.

He was somewhat docile though - he just didn't like being carried.
>>
>>3082
My brother bought one of these at a school carnival once. Although we feed him the fucker LOVED eating insects and when he got old enough he escaped. It was along time a way so he's definitely dead now but I'm sure he grew up into badass wild rooster during his lifespan.

I mean, Americans shoot up women's clinics because they don't believe in birth control, and shoot teenage kids because they don't believe in black people having rights, so yeah, I kinda do think that's the case in some ways.

Yes, yes. I suppose all Europeans go to teenager camps and shoot up 80 something kids because he disagrees with their point of view, then complain the prison is too harsh. Or better yet, allow violent refugees who would shoot the very people trying to accept them. I mean some hundred thirty dead with mutilations around obviously aren't that important, relative to a raging autistic mutant who shot nine black church goers. Or running over 80 some odd people. But hey, only America has these problems.

I never said human life was sacred, nor did I say we are not irrelevant.
These are your projections, based on my simple statement that a baby chickens life is not equal to that of a human.
You don't have to agree with me, but putting words in my mouth to suit your narrative doesn't exactly help your argument.
It's a bad analogy. Nothing more, nothing less.

If we're irrelevant and a baby chick is irrelevant we are equal to the baby chick.

No amount of your bickering will dilute this. Enjoy being a spec who considers itself superior to the other specs.

>your argument

You never had an argument to begin with, just "b-b-but we're specul!!!!". My counter is we're not special. Your butthurt disregarding, all life on the planet is equally worthless to the void.

Deal w/ it gaiafag.
>>
>>3137

You're right, I had a statement. A baby chickens life is not equal to a human life
>we're all irrelevant so it doesn't matter snyway
Society says otherwise. Deal with it.
>y-you are just butthurt
>gaiafag
More projections and insults. You don't know.
Again, a baby chickens life is not equal to a human. Because of this your analogy sucks. Your nileist viewpoint is what is not relevant.

Morocco. Probably every second world nation desudesu.
They probably have the easiest time in the United States. At least here some people would get too sentimental to just butcher them when they mature.

they're both meaningless anthropomorphisms

sentience has arisen in numerous families in such a way that does not resemble ours, nor is there any guarantee higher problem solving ability + ability to act as a civilization unit in a species will resemble man in any way. they're mindlessly limiting terms that sperglords use to create artificial hierarchies in evolution as if mankind is at the very pinnacle of all Earth's development for the past 560mya.

>Central America is the geographical region within the American continent between North America and South America.

Discussing the meaning of the word "America" is like religion. Everyone believes they're right and that the others are fucking wrong.

This is more like a cultural thing.

it kinda hurts to look at this pic. Like you can even see some chicks pancaked or ground into the ground by perhaps the chinese woman's shoes. It´ s not their fault really. It just makes me feel bad.

>>
>>3173

Thats how I feel, and why I have so much appreciation for ethical ranchers, which I am happy to say visit here sometimes.

I think its fundamentally insane to mourn our current position in the 'food chain'. Life and nature itself is inherently cruel and suffering and as civilized beings with a sense of empathy we are obligated to contain it but acknowledge it. Every time an ethical rancher has to slaughter one of his animals, he has to personally accept that. Its a responsibility that is as old as kosher and halal law.

No matter how casual the individual is, our primal societies have always acknowledged the nature of sacrifice of life for life.

These days our food distribution models have gotten so warped that the connection between the animal and the blessing of a meal in a hard world has been lost. People are not taught to appreciate and respect the animal that they eat. They treat meat like its mere candy. It relieves scarcity, true. But it isn't healthy to over indulge. People dont understand that in much of the world and through history, the effort of ranching or hunting made meat a luxury to be appreciated.

In our more agrarian age, ranchers would celebrate our livestock animals in art, as would hunters. Today, that connection seems to have faded, and we have lost some of our dignity as a species as a result, eating like hunters but living as grazers.

Here is a documentary I like on the topic of modern ranching views, 30 minutes if one ever has the chance

I had some of those, one pink, one yellow, one orange and one green.

They got sick with diarrhea and green died, the rest got better.

They became white with colored tips, really cute. The pink one could fly and turns out it was a hen. We bought em chicken food and she got very fat and couldnt fly any more. She layed some eggs and we gave them to another uncle with a bigger garden when we couldnt keep them anymore, and im told she had little white chicks later. They're likely dead now, but i still have their feathers.
