Now that BookWalker is distributing digital volumes would PA ever consider using them as 'raws' and then putting in your own English translations?
My thought is if PA is inclined to do something like that, it could lighten the load and help catch up on HQ versions. Also they have added sfx text, which I know PA does not do.
I'm assuming there is a flagrant copyright issue with doing that though, more so than the tolerated/accepted usual way, and that it could cause real problems.

I don't mean to sound like an ungrateful ass, and I'm sorry if this is mildly offensive. I VERY much appreciate PA giving me access to the world of Monster Musume.

Just finished giving both chapters a solid read. My phone is fucked for some reason (hence my lack of pictures earlier) I'll see if I can get it working tomorrow so I can get you guys stuff.

Overall impressions. 10/10 chapters

Crab is really on a roll and back in prime form. Perfect balance of cute and lewd. Tons of lore, tons of bantz. All the girls get some screen time besides Mero and Papi. Yes Lala shows up more and it's great. I'm actually really excited to get these chapters out to you guys. Hope I haven't hyped you up too much but I these last 3 chapters have been great in my opinion.

Taking the official ENGLISH release and slapping our own translated text on there would be equal to sending them a mail, begging them to sue us.
As Tarage said, SS was cool with us doing our own thing and I don't want to risk or damage their relationship with us and ultimately with the whole scanlation scene.
It wouldn't save any work either, as the things we redraw aren't SFX, but double pages and text that's covering original art. Further, I'd have to change my actions to get the digital "raws" up to our release dimensions.
About the only thing that would be easier is leveling and color correction for color pages.

Looks like it's a very funny chapter. Cerea spending the whole first chapter pissed off, Smith finding her counterbalance (the broker/scientist), Rachne beign cute and Lala's shenanigans are very good.
Also, according to the scientist, the big (black?) slime wants to absorb Suu so it can divide into smarter slimes. I'd go that she is Suu's progenitor.

I think that helps answer the question of whether fan interest in EMG has actually declined all that much outside 4chan threads.

That is I find it more likely that rather than a lot of readers losing interest in the manga, they lost interest in participating in /a/ threads that consisted largely of shitposting and complaining, and either weren't aware of threads moving to /c/ or just didn't care to make the move.

And of course there's the fact that 4chan posters are at best a small percentage of the people who actually buy or read the manga.

As for my feelings on this arc, what matters to me is that despite how long it has lasted Okayado has still found a lot of opportunity to give lore on the setting and to showcase the main characters (some more than others admittedly). The arc lasting a long time would only be an issue to me if it was actually preventing slice of life events, and it honestly hasn't interfered much with that as far as I'm concerned.

And I am overjoyed to see Rachnera finally back in action here.

Even at the height of Mon Musu threads we were only a couple hundreds of people. The fact that it made the best selling graphic novels on The New Times' Best Sellers list revealed how small of a coterie we were. I just wonder how many of those people are alone in their fandom for Mon Musu and never tell anyone about it or talk about their favorite chapters, stories, and girls. It's a little sad to think about. I'm glad I was able to meet such great people that share my love of Mon Musu even if I will never meet you or know your names. You guys are the best.
