Homura’s smile is the warmth of the sun. Her hair is the smell of the wind. Her skin is silk, as pale as the moon. She is beauty beyond compare.
In her heart, thought, is a legendary flame. Akemi. The burning soul of a girl, a woman, fueled by a purpose held aloft, despite the weight it puts on her tiny frame. The purple pools of sorrow, and intensity, framed by her brilliant red glasses, are the lighthouse for Homura Akemi’s soul. Every detail of her is something to appreciate; her body, her mind, and her soul are all models of human behavior. This thread is dedicated to Homura Akemi - may her efforts be rewarded in proportion to her struggle.

hnnnnng
Just how good could it even feel, to have Homura cuddle you? I sure could use a demonstration.
Anyone else having issues posting images? I have Homus galore and I can't do anything about it.
Cuddling the Homu or being cuddled by the Homu?
>>2899297
Can I take both?
>>2899312
I don't see an issue.
>>2899265

Heh
I am Akemi Homura. Ask me anything.

I would ask your hand in marriage, but of course Madoka is only person that could possibly be the right one for you so I will instead ask you to hurry up and marry her already. Please have my best regards for the couple, too.
The Megucae homurae is a the perfect hunter. Keen senses, sharp intellect, and a fatal bite make this creature a force to be reckoned with. As a solitary predator, it has a largely asocial temperament, which may go as far as to inviting hostilities with other members of genus Megucae, but most particularly with other Megucae homurae. The exception to this, however, is the Megucae madocae, with which the Megucae homurae shares a fascinating symbiosis.
All extant species of all-female genus Megucae frequently cross-reproduce, but the Megucae homurae is unique in that it will exclusively mate with a single Megucae madocae for life. This occurs due to the Megucae madocae secreting a unique pheromone specifically to attract Megucae homurae, which disarms the Megucae homurae, allowing the Megucae madocae to conduct courtship. After this occurs, the Megucae homurae will become extremely protective of its mate. It maintains its solitary hunting habits to provide food for the couple, however, the Megucae madocae will frequently tag along to aid in the hunt of its own will.
A unusual exception is the newly discovered subspecies. Meducae homurae diabolus, which has some degree of immunity over the Meducae madocae's pheromones. While it still exhibits protective behavior, it will never engage to mate, instead only watching from afar, deliberately concealing itself. Such behavior is not well understood.
What I think is worse than people twisting Rebellion to fit their Tumblr narratives are the ones who have spent years actively hating Homura and raging about her on the daily. Like holy shit, it's one thing for the HomuHater meme to exist, but there are way too many actual people who spew shit like that.
Alright. It's late where I am. About an hour ago i finished my 12th Rebellion rewatch. The movie has gotten me through near several of the worst points in my life. It's just done so much for me it's nearly got me flummoxed thinking about it.
And just.
Fuck. There is no one I could genuinely appreciate as much as I do Homura. Someone this beautiful in endless ways, so very well designed... so fucking cute. She brings me much happiness from the worst that's come to the best that will come. I am so fucking thankful for her and very tired. I love Homura Akemi with all of my heart.
Dear Homu diary

What's this?
>when the elementary schooler walks in on your MadoHomu play.
Reading through some summaries of Kirara interviews. Learned some neat stuff.
-Shinbo got the idea for Rebellion's ending from watching the ending to Apocalypse of Devilman
-Shinbo says Rebellion happened 1 or 2 timeloops after the series
-Urobuchi thinks Devil Homura is really cool
-Hanokage personally refers to Kyouko, Sayaka, and Madoka as the 'three idiots'
-Sayaka's voice actor says Shinbo told her that Sayaka is supposed to be mad but 'not that mad' at the end of Rebellion
-Hanokage says Wraith Arc was planned immediately after Rebellion in 2014
-Hanokage says Wraith Arc ends on a loop because they want fans to make their own story lf what happens between then and Rebellion
-Iwakami says Magia Records take place in an alternate universe
Is this Homura enough?
>>2904729
Now, to see if I got it right.
According to my own knowledge of Homu lingo that has to be the Homura = good synonym, and therefore:
>Is this good enough?
Yes.
>>2904791
Ah, I meant to post this nad decided not to
>>2904715
>-Shinbo says Rebellion happened 1 or 2 timeloops after the series
wait, what? there are time loops after the series? why or how? I thought only Homura cause them
>>2904882
Read Wraith Arc
>>2904797
>QB cheek rubbing
So, this is the power of AI YO.... Not bad.
>>2904882
But the manga only show 1 loop, how did the other loops happened? are we meant to assume that QB cause them thanks to the piece of homura's shield?
>>2905062
Interview reader here, he made this comment shortly after Rebellion. Intake most interview comments not related to the works at hand to be personal musings rather than concrete facts. The fact Shinbo did work this off comment into Wraith Arc was interesting.
>Madoka wants to take a bath with Homura-chan
>>2905069
If I understand that means according to Shinbo, Homura is doomed to fall in and out of time loops regardless of the how and why (assuming he hasn't change his mind), well, if that's true: that's depressing AF, that means she can't win, all she can do is fight till she drops death (the series and the wraith arch ends in that note so it is consistent)
>>2905073
What an interesting conclusion to come to for an interview you've never read or seen.
>>2905073
1) Wraith Arc and the series have the same ending because they have the same sequel. Homura's clear about her intentions in the new universe and Wraith Arc drills home that there was no greater happiness than fighting for Madoka's world until she died. Everyone's ultimate fate is death until Homura transcended death as a new concept in Rebellion.
2) The comment was in regard to the series and it's conclusion. He stated the series is its own complete work while Rebellion can be thought of as happening in a timeloop or two after the series. At the time, this was ass covering for if Rebellion was a box office failure.
3) Hanokage said it was her personal decision to have it end on a loop.
4) post an image when you comment.
>>2905083
>1) Wraith Arc and the series have the same ending because they have the same sequel.
That sequel being Rebellion right?so the wraith arch was written to give more insight though not being key to understand Rebellion? (assuming i got it right)
>2) The comment was in regard to the series and it's conclusion. He stated the series is its own complete work while Rebellion can be thought of as happening in a timeloop or two after the series. At the time, this was ass covering for if Rebellion was a box office failure.
Didn`t think of that
>4) post an image when you comment.
Sorry
>>2905077
I don't know where to find the interview in english
I get to those conclusions because I tend to obsess with concepts (I believe the concepts a book/series touches are the difference between a seasonal anime and a favourite) and no one I know IRL has seen or care or might talk to this lengths of Madoka and Homura's concept is fascinating to me. The hero that can not win or Sisyphus (from Camu's take on the myth of Sisyphus), doomed to fight an un-winnable struggle (pushing the rock in the case os Sisyphus), falling in despair when she loses sight on why she is doing it (nihilism phase before absurdism), it's interesting seeing how her soul gem start getting tainted when she realises that her struggle is pointless and then she regains meaning rebellion, when she decides to save Madoka, even though she is miserable at the end and knows her barrier will fall and until then she got a lot to work, that (the struggle) makes her happy.
In the wraith arc we see that even though she has a meaning (protecting madoka's new world), its not enough, yes, she regains meaning at the end of the wraith arc but, how long can this new meaning last before she breaks down again?
Though to be sincere this is mostly mi interpretation, the series is filled with nihilism but never talks or implies anything related with absurdism
>>2905101
>Sisyphus
I'm surprised you didn't go for Faust, considering that's what the namings push. Madoka is Homura's Gretchen and even when Homura loses her, Homura continues to move forward. Though Urobuchi says this is more InuCurry's doing, he says he can see it when people bring it up.
Ultimately a lot of fans bring in comparisons that aren't necessarily there. There's a strong Buddhist component in there that drives the cycle of suffering (samsara) and the rise of a Buddha type figure that granting nirvana to those locked into suffering. Homura serves as a contrast to that, wanting to protect Madoka from suffering. That doesn't touch on the yin-yang relationship that they share.
For the most part Madoka and Homura are characters that represent Urobuchi's distinct styles: Madoka's pure maiden who saves the story, even if it means the characters lives are in ruins and Homura's rugged independence and resolve: even if things are bad now, they can get better as long as i never give up.
>even though she is miserable at the end and knows her barrier will fall and until then she got a lot to work, that (the struggle) makes her happy.
There's a major error in your thinking: where is it implied she will fail? Rebellion implies that for the time being, Homura is law. Her will transcended "hope" and "despair". She became the ubermensch when she denied companionship and destroyed god. She's an enemy of Madoka's will, but she'll crush Madokami or any other meguca whenever the need arises. I'd suggest to look up Urobuchi's comments and views on VOTOMS.
>>2905111
>I'm surprised you didn't go for Faust
I haven't read Faust so I think that's next logical step in understanding how Madoka's story ticks, also Buddhist theology.
>where is it implied she will fail?
I thought Madoka regaining her memories/connection with LoC (before Homura erased her memories) in the first day of Homura's new world was to imply that Homura's world could or will fall apart, maybe I missread the meaning of that scene.
>I'd suggest to look up Urobuchi's comments and views on VOTOMS.
I found his opinions and I see the similarities between Chirico Cuvie and Homura
>>2905121
>Madoka regaining her power
And you also watched Homura shut that down. She'll do the same thing everytime. It's also implied that this only happens when Homura tires to get close to her. As long as Homura keeps her distance and she's on guard, nothong sill happen. Homura isn't allowed to slice her melon and eat it to. For now atleast.
>>2905166
I agree, I mixed expeculation with things that actually happen leading to unbased conclusions of could the 4th movie go (and its not like you can guess what is going to happen in madoka)
>>2905203
That's what makes Madoka so interesting to discuss. Quartet actively work against audience expectations.
>>2905203
Take a look at the Buddhist stuff for sure though. Wraith Arc basically has Homura indirectly commit all the mortal sins (minus killing her own parents) that would send someone to hell in Shinto-Buddhism.

The artist draws Homura quite often, and it seems the other anons here are pretty quick to post the fresh homus coming from there, too.
Artist comment:
A girl is a terrible creature that combines a merciful side like a goddess and a cunning face like a demon...

I got a Twitter just for posting in Homu threads. Honestly I hate every other board on 4chan but /c/ is what keeps me coming back.
Does this count? I saw someone on /a/ sperging out about it earlier.
New thread!
