TL;DR: Triple parentheses around a name means the person either is or is suspected to be Jewish.

It should be noted that last names that end in -berg or -stein are actually German in origin but have been adopted by many Jewish families.

The meme comes from a Chrome addon developed by a member of The Right Stuff which is very much like /pol/ and has significant member overlap between the two places. The addon puts triple parentheses around text that matches a wordfilter of Jewish names. The idea is to be able to quickly recognize Jewish influence in media without having to stop and take the time to look up every name you read. (It is the opinion of /pol/ and TRS members that Jews secretly rule the world.)
