Ahhh I will never get over how cute Kud is. I could shower her with the same affectionate compliments over and over again and never get tired of it. I want to hug her and I also probably need sleep.

I've known about the game nearly a decade now, played the trial that fluffly TLed in late 2008/early 2009 , they announced the TL project was abandoned later that year so i started on moon for it, and finally got to play it for real in 2010 yet it all feels not that long ago I saw pictures of kud in a thread and wanted to play the game, let alone the first times I played it. Time flies I guess.

At this point i'd really recommend waiting for the steam release with EX routes, the anime versions of EX were missing so much it's hard to believe someone approved them

I have an amusingly coincidental backstory with Little Busters. Firstly, in 2009 or so, I used to listen to the theme song without ever knowing what it was from. A few years later, in late 2012, I found a fanart picture of Kud, but there was no source on who she was or what she was from (just found her in a random Google search for cute anime girls). And so, believing that she was just someone's OC, I decided to create my own OC based on Kud's design from that fanart and named her "Chestnut". I'm not good at any form of art myself, so she only exists inside of my mind as a name and personality, with her looks resembling Kud. Finally in summer of 2013 I discovered that this girl was actually Kud from Little Busters, at which point I immediately went to watch the anime and was surprised once again when the theme song was the song I had listened to several years earlier. It seemed amusing to me, as if I was destined to someday get into Little Busters all along.

I've never been much for OCs myself, but for some reason I just wanted to when I saw this girl. Pic related is the fan art in question. The character I had imagined was a painfully shy girl with social anxiety. An ordinary girl with a vivid imagination, who dreamed of becoming a magical witch. But I feel like I'm rambling now.

So you learned to read/understand Japanese? That's really cool. How did you go about learning?

I did a pretty drawn out method of wrote memorisation since i wasn't really aware of spacial repetition till a while into studying, ontop of Genki 1 and 2. Would be a lot better to just start with memrise / Realkana then read Tae kims guide to japanese followed by an anki deck and reading, could go more into detail if you're really interested in starting.

Okay, I'll keep it in mind. I am interested in starting but learning Japanese sounds really hard. I mean just the concept of learning another language feels like such a difficult thing, I'm not sure if I could actually do it.

I have dabbled lightly in Japanese before. I can read most of hiragana and some of katakana, but I have no experience with kanji. Although I guess being able to read those does me little good since I don't know the language itself.

It's not really as hard as you'd think, http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/ If you already know Hiragana you can start here, go through the grammar guide, and just pick up a really low level manga like Yotsubato or something similar and just take it slow and build up. learning kanji looking up words as you go is the best way to do it by far.

It's from a story she read as a kid about a bat that was outcast and found acceptance, she explains it during her route she finds them very cute and endearing because of it.
