Can't say I expected the last thread to fill up in a day, but I'm not complaining! Let's keep rocking; next event: New Years

I love Yui so much
>>2559965
If you could compare your love of Yui to your love of a food, which food would that be?
>>2560074
Hash brownies, because Yui's love gives me a high each time!
Had been looking for this for ages. Finally stumbled upon it earlier; new wallpaper, check!
>>2560603
I bought a new guitar today! It's a worn cherry red Epiphone Les Paul and it's great and I love it.
>>2561980
Awesome anon! It's a great feeling of happiness, I know! Hope you have many happy Fuwa Fuwa times together. Is it your first guitar too?
>>2562188
It's not my first guitar, no. I also have an old Squier Strat, a Fender classical acoustic, and a Kay half-size classical acoustic. I'm just glad that now I can keep one guitar in E standard for K-On! songs and one in C standard for Dethklok and suff.

This is haram; Keions are pure and innocent and should never come in contact with any drugs or mind altering substances of any kind. Even alcohol. Only uncultured troglodytes do that stuff anyway, why would you want them do stoop to that level?
>>2561667
What does that say? I don't speak Burmese.
Also, you know that girl confused spray paint for a rescuer inhaler about 354 times. She probably wouldn't react to weed any differently than you react to lawnmower clippings.
>>2562235
>not even alcohol
>tfw Yui will never welcome you home with a warm dish of coq au vin after a hard day of work because you won't let her into wine
>tfw said dinner will never be topped off with homemade vanilla cake because you won't let her into vanilla extract
>>2561980
Y-you're absolutely right, anon. Although I could entertain the thought that it would be cute or exciting, I really wouldn't want that to her, and shouldn't joke about it. She's an angel after all and only deserves the purest and best!
>>2562237
The key is drinking responsibly, I'd say! Sharing a celebratory glass of champagne with her following a nice gig, for example, but not getting her drunk every second day. Seems reasonable to me, anyway!
>>2562236
Oh right, I forgot to include that:
Azu: Are you even listening? Yui-Senpai you're always always always...
Yui: It's OK, Azu-nyan, I'm listening properly~
>>2562229
That's cool! Nice little collection there! I'm guessing one of the key reasons you wouldn't just retune your strat is (apart from it being a nuisance), that you can use thicker gauge strings for the strat, and thinner ones for the LP?

bingo
Do these transparencies look good? This guy's artwork of Yui is really cute, and I think it looks good transparent.
>>2562347
It's pretty nice, but there are white borders surrounding her contours and they're a bit uneven. Although they're small they are very obvious against an otherwise transparent background. Are you using Photoshop for this? You may want to increase the sensitivity somewhat.
>>2561980
Congrats! My first guitar was an ebony Epiphone Les Paul. Now I have a tobacco burst Gibson Les Paul standard. I saw one that looked like Yui's but I prefer the looks of this one more.
>>2562364
I use Gimp
>>2562424
What episode is this screenshot from? I just noticed her hair clips are on the other side!
>>2562424
Oh, also, I've never used GIMP before, but if it's anything like Photoshop you may have a similar option of increasing the sensitivity of the marking tool. I think the transparency could look really nice!
To the anons who are talking about guitars.
About a couple months ago, I bought myself an Epiphone Orange Sunburst Les Paul and for a little while, I fiddled with it (Keep in mind, my first guitar). Sadly though, I don't take as much interest in it as I thought. Every so often, though, I plan on taking it back out and trying again to see if maybe I change my mind about it. Basically, I'm not going to try not to give up on it yet. Any tips you could provide me with to get going? Any tip is welcome and appreciated.

Firstly, not being willing to give up is really important, so it's great that you still have the will left! Everyone's experiences will be different, but I think it's fairly common that you can fall out of it and lose consistency - I got my own first guitar about three months ago, but before that I had played the piano since... 10 years? But I had really bad consistency with it so I didn't make very good progress. With my guitar I've been playing almost every day for about an hour, on the other hand, so this has worked out much better, obviously!
With that background, some tips I could give would be to try to get the basics down. You mentioned fiddling around, and that can be really fun, but ultimately you will feel like you run out of tools to work with. Doing that, you also set up small goals you can sequentially overcome, and that's also quite rewarding and motivating, which is especially useful while you're just starting out so you can establish a habit. I followed the study programme at justinguitar.com and it has helped me tremendously. It follows a really logical progression, so it's highly recommended!
As you learn more, don't forget to balance the technical training with fun stuff such as learning songs and, again fiddling around. It keeps you motivated and it can be an amazing feeling to play along to a song you like!
Other than that, just general tips for staying motivated would be to use a "don't break the chain" chain or use something like the pomodoro technique. I use both and they help a lot! Without them, I often procrastinate, because I'm "too busy". But it's all a matter of remembering to prioritise really! They're especially useful for music since consistency really is key. Playing 15 minutes each day is really superior to playing 2 hours once a week.
Does that help any, or is there something more specific you're concerned about?
Either way, good luck and many Fuwa Fuwa times to you!

There's plenty of lessons on youtube, from holding a pick to playing penatonic scales.
Starting off on acoustic would've been a good start, since the notes stand out more and requires more accuracy when playing chords and such. Afterwards, it makes electric guitar much easier. But I started off on electric anyways since I wanted to play metal/rock music.
Learn basic chords, power chords, then barr chords, majors chords, etc. and practice playing them slowly and accurately. Once you know your chords, just put them all together and you'll be making music. Once you mastered playing everything clean, then you can add your guitar effects and stuff and just rock out.
Practice makes perfect, don't be slacking!
I love this image
Happy New Year Yuibros! Here's to a great year to come with many more heartwarming moments with best girl! Wish you all memorable celebrations tonight as well!

> I don't take as much interest in it as I thought
There's the problem. You have to want to do it. It has to be something you come home everyday looking forward to, and spend literally hours doing, because you enjoy it. Everything else will slide in to place if your passionate about it. If you don't have that drive and enthusiasm you will never get anywhere.
But don't take it too seriously either. By being passionate about it and enjoying it, I mean just that; it should be fun, not stressful. Don't feel like there's a level you need to reach at a certain time, or someone you need to play like, and don't spend ages trying to learn techniques or songs that are obviously too hard at the moment; because you'll keep fucking it up, and you'll get demotivated. And don't worry about any complicated terminology or techniques you might hear about at the start, just let them slide over you. You'll understand them in time, if you play for ages and get into it.
Speaking of that; honestly the most important thing is giving yourself lots and lots and lots of time, and learning everything real slow; piece by piece. You're not Yui, so you won't (And no one else on the planet can), pick up a guitar and learn to play master level stuff within half a year. Or even a year. If you must set yourself goals, make them small ones that you can achieve.
>>2562965
Oh also, I'd like to add, and this is from experience; do NOT think you'll be able to play HTT songs, or even that you should be able to learn their songs, anytime soon. The level of musicianship in their songs is absolutely goddamn ridiculous, and certainly not fitting for teenage girls in highschool with 3 years of experience. They were written by a professional musician who's been in the business for around 40 years; plus it is J-Rock/J-Pop, a genre where eveything is kinda crazy and over the top. So yeah, just so you don't get demotivated, don't try to learn those ones from the get-go. Remember some of the best bands and musicians out there aren't really that technically skilled either, so just take it easy and keep it simple for the most part.
>>2562967
I didn't have to think twice about trying after hearing their songs.

Thank you all!
I do understand that small goals, not big, are the way to go for a while.
I guess the real problems holding me back from keeping at it right now are time and space. I can't really enjoy it enough when I barely have room to do so. That may be making me uncomfortable about playing it. So I'm hoping, if not soon, eventually I can get those back and I can retry.
Again, thank you. Your words have and will help determine my future with my guitar.

I need loli Yui in my life ;_;
>>2563807
She'd be quite a handful.
>>2563835
Too much work for you anon? No worries; I'll gladly take care of her! Haha, now she's mine and only mine!
>>2559753
Tenshirooooooooooooooo! Yui needs your help to circumvent the image limit!
