Because Azusa wasn't in College.
Seriously though I found Nao and Sumire much more interesting and likeable than the new characters in College, whose names I can't even remember. Also the whole plotline of Azusa trying to make her final year with the club live up to her senpais' was far far more captivating than the other four bumbling around in college doing not much at all.
I'm just waiting for the reunion manga...

It's just strange because College keeps all of the main characters from the first volume, but is a huge step down from the first volume. Maybe it's just that they tried to give attention to too many different characters while High School was largely focused on Azusa. That or the lack of teatimes.
