Hmmm...

I like where this is going.

Why not, instead, buy an alright used vehicle that you can afford without the extra cash and rent it out to a person that doesn't want to damage their own vehicle or doesn't have a sufficient vehicle to begin work.

That way, no matter how much they make in a day, they owe you for the week/month. Just be sure to charge enough rent to cover the insurance. I'm sure there's quite a few ways to make a profit here.

I do lyft and really only make money on long trips and tips.

Short rides are shitty as fuck and just are a waste of time.

Most drivers rent cars and just do it full time. It seriously only works in cities and honestly its just luck to get great rides.

Since I'm going to be commuting to university I just found a few guys and girls going to the same university using the universities ride sharing facebook page and now I am guaranteed to get $10 / seat, 16 times a week, for most of the year... So an extra $600 or so a month for doing nothing basically.

I live in a big city, multi million people, so it works well
