I live in California, my father left me with expensive antique furniture (Chippendale style, chinese dragon chairs and so on) before he passed away. I am young, I've been carrying this stuff around (storage/uhaul..ect) to the point where i need to get my moneys worth out of it-because I cant afford to hold on to it nor do I want to- I've seen on the market what I can get for these (which is alot) but I know any antique store will rip me off. most of the pieces are in mint condition-unfortunately not all because of moving- so I wanna sell this asap.
I should also mention I probably have a month to get rid of them because reasons and my situation.
any recommendations/ anyone with experience in this area/who knows anything about antique furniture? (i will post more photos)
My main concern for you would be how to verify if your stuff is worth anything. Sometimes people think their stuff is worth a lot more than it actually is.
That's not antique dude.
Why are you posting this here? Do high schoolers typically know a lot about early 20th century Asian furniture
try craigslist.
Look for sold listings on ebay to see what similar furniture is going for.
The new rich Chinese are crazy about cherrywood, and they practically wet their pants at the chance to spend more money than their neighbours on a luxury item.
Consider export.
