The List.

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Thread replies: 48

Everyone has a list inside of their minds, a list that keeps track subconsciously of all the things you want to own in life, or experience. Things like, your dream car, or a car, your own house, a dream house, a dream vacation, a dream pencil sharpener, etc etc etc.

What are some of the items on your list? You don't have to give them all, but 1 or 2 would be great. I'm just wondering what /biz/ aspires to have someday, and I want to see how different many of us are in terms of wealth accumulation.

It can be literally anything, a trophy wife, a Lamborghini, a special fish, a helicopter, a date night with Rosie Huntington Whiteley, literally any thing or experience that you want to one day make a reality.

A cozy cob house with one of those windows that has a bench built in to read in for my girlfriend and I.

A passive revenue stream to support $30-$40k lifestyle per year.

Being debt free.

Enough acres of land that I can have a bit woods to walk in.

Spare cash for strippers and weed.

Why the fuck do so many people reply to these dumb ass "wishing" threads?

I wish i could fly i wish i had a billion dollars

It's so retarded... You are all probably either NEETs or in college, or working a shit-tier job. No one who becomes successful spent their unsuccessful years "wishing" for things. They worked hard all damn day.

It's good to set goals man. If you don't have lots of goals or aspirations you won't have the motivation to do anything above the bare minimum.

Good stuff, I'll post mine now

>Beach front house with white sandy beach
>qt3.14 wife, brunette, white, 5'5-5'8
>4 kids, 2 boys, 2 girls, hopefully a set of twins, but if not, 1 year apart each, or every 9 months
>4 dogs, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Labrador, and Husky
>2 big family sedans, Rolls Royce Phantom and Bentley Mulsanne or similar
>2 exotic cars, Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
>2 big SUVs for trips, Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus
>1 sailboat, maybe 50 feet long or 100 feet docked in the water in front of our beach
>live in USA, California or something, and have a house in Switzerland and Japan that we go to every year
>$10M in savings so I can live off the investments with 5%-10% yearly returns.
>me and my wife work and run a few businesses, a luxury car business, and a luxury real estate business.

I'm currently attending one of the best universities in the world, so I am fairly certain I can achieve these things, and I'll also obviously marry someone as well off as me, or close or better. For me these are all realistic by the time I turn 35-40.
>>
>>991143
>It's good to set goals man. If you don't have lots of goals or aspirations you won't have the motivation to do anything above the bare minimum.

Yeah but this board smells a lot like an /r9k/ thread with these weird, delusional goals that they're not even close to achieving.

It's like a little child... or manchild in this case saying:
>I WANT A LAMBORGHINI, NO 5 LAMBORGHINIS, A BIG CASTLE, BIG BOOBIES - NO MAKE THAT 10 BIG BOOBIES AND TO SWIM IN A POOL OF MONEY

>>991158
>I'm currently attending University
>I want over $20million total and all these things 20 years into the future

You know you could drop out or even not get your "dream job", right? What are you going to do when none of those dreams come true? Making that much money is not possible with a regular job.
>>
>>991168

I know its not possible with a regular job, I'm in university for Mathematical Finance, and I'm looking to become a Quant first, then save a few million over 5-6 years, using salary and investments, and I currently own my own house, no mortgage, and I'm renting it out to 3 other guys who live with me, I'm taking a clean $1500 a month after expenses, and when I move out, I'll be taking in a little over $2500 per month, while working, and I'll just whatever money I earn from this house, and buy another one while they're cheap near my university.
>>
>>991168
If you judged any 4chan board by the manchild/underageb&/troll posters then you would get the same impression.

Anyway, the only person in this thread who made far fetched goals posted after you.

Ok then I guess.

I just find it quite interesting how all these supposedly "high achievers" are on the same board where over 50% of people are unemployed currently according to polls. Added to the fact that they're on 4chan, let alone a cryptocurrency containment board. Surely there's a better place to discuss business?
>>
>>991180

There is no better place, because none of you fuckers can come together to create one that's actually useful. Didn't some guys almost have a forum going 2 months ago? bizninja?

You guys couldn't even keep that going for more than 3 weeks.
>>
>>991180
>>991181
The beauty of 4chan is that it takes away all of the bullshit of forums. You won't find any "gurus" or sales threads, and the general population is too smart to be shilled. Every business related forum I've visited has held less ACTUAL useful information than I've read /biz/. The main negative is that you have to filter through the angry retards like you two to get to the information.
>>
>>991185
>Every business related forum I've visited has held less ACTUAL useful information than I've read /biz/. The main negative is that you have to filter through the angry retards like you two to get to the information.

I guarantee you'd find better information MUCH quicker using any other resource other than 4chan.

You're just used to browsing through 5 "Biz help me choose major pliz", "Things ____ do", "who /voting bernie/ here?", and robinhood threads. This board is just dumb, it's like /pol/-lite but with people who watched American Psycho and Wolf of Wallstreet and now have a superiority complex from the dopamine rushes they get from writing cool goals and pretending to be businessmen.

Other than the /biz/ book picture and "Spend less than you earn" and "Invest in Index Funds/ETFs" there is nothing productive here. And those 3 things are already understandable within a few minutes, leaving all the other time spent rendered mental masturbation which accomplishes nothing.
>>
>>991185

That's why forum admins exist, to clear bullshit threads like that.

Forums will and always will be better, its something to work towards to have a positive rep, on 4chan you have no rep, unless you reveal your information. I find forums much better for this type of thing, and they can have useful information, its just very hard to get it because people on 4chan just love to "post works of fiction"

They really are.

>Ask question
>People who actually know something answer, although it does take a bit longer than 4chan
Thankfully you can expect no troll answers or dumb ass shit posted as long as your question isn't retarded.
>>
>>991176
You won't make 20 million working for someone else. As an example someone in your dream position at Goldman Sachs will only make around 400K at the high end and half will go to taxes. Then factor in your other expenses and the lifestyle you are looking at is that of a midrange doctor/surgeon. You want a bunch of depreciating assets (exotic cars).

I'm not saying you cannot do it. But I am saying you CANNOT do it being an employee for someone else.

Also, once you attain this level of wealth buying more shit will seem pointless. Most of the guys driving around those flashy cars are financing them and shouldn't be driving them in the first place.
>>
>>991192
Most of the information on forums is completely useless and irrelevant. Rich people don't share actual useful advice, or browse forums. People who "contribute" to forums are just poor people looking for attention or trying to build a reputation so they can sell something later on. Reddit is pretty much the only place to go on the internet aside from a few blogs/wiki type sites where you can get actual decent information.

We need mods to clean up the threads that belong in /adv/ or /pol/ but there's good conversation if you don't get angry and start to shitpost whenever you see something you don't like.
>>
>>991220
Watch out. He claims to already own a house, while still in University.

We got a real businessman on our hands here. The question is what kind of golden nuggets of wisdom has he been giving us without disclosing his extravagant networth.

Lmao this board is such fucking shit, I really gotta stop coming here.
>>
>>991195
>its just very hard to get it because people on 4chan just love to "post works of fiction"
Nothings stopping people on forums from doing the same. They just have more of a reason to do it because they can build up a reputation and then scam idiots/sell their eBook.
>>
>>991225
>Most of the information on forums is completely useless and irrelevant. Rich people don't share actual useful advice, or browse forums. People who "contribute" to forums are just poor people looking for attention or trying to build a reputation so they can sell something later on

Completely wrong. Many forums with strict moderation have very knowledgeable members who are professionals in their field. They just don't spoonfeed retards or post annoying shit all day long.

>Reddit is pretty much the only place to go on the internet aside from a few blogs/wiki type sites where you can get actual decent information.

If anything reddit is what you described. Stupid, irrelevant pseudo-intellectuals who don't even read their own links before posting them and feel smart because they read the titles of the r/todayilearned page.

>but there's good conversation if you don't get angry and start to shitpost whenever you see something you don't like

Yeah I can see it. Like this thread with "I want to make millions of dollars then spend it all on depreciating assets just because they're flashy to impress a bunch of other people" or "Nothing big, just a 3 million dollar penthouse, a 10/10 wife and a few exotic cars". And it's so obvious they're NEETs or in college too. Nobody who is on their way to becoming successful or IS anywhere near successful posts this shit.

have the money to build and operate a science facility à la CERN specialising in particle physics, space exploration, biotechnology, neuroscience etc. and using it to contribute as much as possible to the scientific and technologic advancement of the human species, free from requiring funding from the dumbfuckery that is state government (yeah I realise this would require billions if not trillions of dollars and decades of work; my goal is not necessarily to complete it but at least to start it and nurture it so that one day it may become this grand facility that i have envisioned).

You're right, actually. We should all have goals, but what's incredibly important is that we set an *actionable plan* that moves us from point A to point Z. When sharing a goal, one must make sure to include their step-by-step plan.

A wise guy worth over $200 millions once told me:
>"Everybody wants to move from A to Z, but very few people account for points B through Y."
