Have you guys hoppend on to the biometrics bandwagon? Huge growth throghout the sector and next year is going to be even crazier.
What are some of the companies you've got your eye on at the moment OP?
Fingerprint cards, IDEX, Precise biometrics and next biometrics are that i have looked at, got my money on the FPC since its the biggest and maybe get some Next when I liquidate other stuff early next year.

some /biz/tard hopped on next and bashed fpc non stop in a thread a month ago. He is nowhere to be seen by now though. Im in FPC from 90 @3000 shares. Been (day)trading PREC (successfully) as well. But price, idea and next are shit companies when it comes to generating cash (atm)
Fingerprints aren't the future of security sadly.

Xiaomi confirmed...!
Gratis alla!
The human mind is incapable of understanding exponential growth.

are you the next troll? 120 support level broken and plummeting...
I used the fingerprint scanner on my Galaxy S5, but after I lasered my eyes I had to wash my hands to drop my eyes every half hour. And it stopped recognizing my fingerprint.
But as always, biometrics can't replace a password. It can replace the username. Because you can't change it normally so if it gets stolen you're in trouble if it would be used as a password.

use ur tiny brain
combinations will be used when extra security is needed...
>>973452
besides, synaptics sensors suck... dont invest in SYNA for their fingerprint sensors...
>>973576
ever heard of micro characteristics? these change over time thus a fingerprint is not constant during a lifetime due to sweat pores changing places constantly during your lifetime. Besides... Fingerprint matching is done offline... Its very hard to simply hack but a first year CS student like you probably has no idea.

Ever heard of skimming? Probably not if you dont even have a job yet.
>>973576
besides you didn't even counter my argument, 2 passwords are better than one. Add in an iris scanner or voice recognition and its basically unhackable.
>>973582
top kek if you think you can skim a fingerprint scan, this isn't harry potter.
>>973595
So your magical device can scan it, but the ones of other people cant. I guess this is harry potter.

the biometric smartcard obviously creates a one time payment unique payment number thus digital skimming wouldn't make sense.
