How much do employers really look into your background, and how much would they really care about non-"politically correct" stuff?

I run an online gaming community which I have a lot of work invested in and it showcases my technical skills well. However, the game is of a "no-rules" nature and people who play on it are often vulgar and racist. Is this something that may be an issue?
>>
I imagine any company that checks into it is going to see you as a possible liability and assume you'll go on a racist tirade.

But who the fucks going to say "anon worked at XXXX lets play his game!"

If it's in North America then probably quite a bit desu with how things are nowadays.

As long as it's not over the top then it should be fine, since they probably(I hope but who knows) realize that users are responsible for the content posted and not you.

I don't tell people I browse 4chan.

Considering that I see everything from help with homework to child porn on this website, I'd rather not risk it.
>>
>>968966
> child porn
I'm thinking of the other chan, but it gets pretty close with lolis, gore and racism on 4chan.
>>
>>968968
>Racism is bad

lmao t b q h

4chan is where people say what they're actually thinking.
>>
>>968970
I didn't make a value judgement. I just classed 4chan's racism with gore and loli posting.

I'm well aware of the moral relativism that makes whatever you want to do/say right. I'm not trying to trigger your fragile self justification.
>>
>>968974
I'm just saying that 4chan is where people say their actual opinions.

Some people might go to school and be nice, politically correct liberalbois but in reality they hate niggers and everything they stand for.

As long as you aren't the one making "gas the jews" comments in your community then any employer looking at it shouldn't have a problem. 90% certain they don't want to look at your faggy website anyway though. Tell them about your technical skills, show them a few examples (carefully picked to highlight the best of you, your skills, and your community) and they should nod and that'll be it.

The sorts of background checks you DO have to worry about are Facebook and Twitter and shit. Do not post pics of yourself playing beer pong with half naked women or take selfies of yourself with various firearms pointed menacingly at the camera.

>Tfw you don't have either

Obviously not OP but would that be suspicious that you don't use any social media?

Not very well.
I produced script kiddy tools and ran a skiddy hacking forum into the ground for years and I've worked for all manner of companies that would fire me if they knew. Credit card companies, government facilities, AV vendors, schools, etc.

No one knows how to google it seems.
>>
>>968993
not particularly. some people try and make a big meme that your chances of being hired will be significantly lowered if they cant find any of your social media, but this has pretty much been confirmed to be downright bullshit. they do check your social stuff and you should make sure you dont put on anything you'll regret, but if they cant find you it wont really effect anything either way

Seems like your experience might be a plus tbqh.

Besides how would they even know your moniker? Google doesn't really help.

>>969012
Yeah I guess that makes sense.

I guess it's just more of a test to see if you're not a mental retard who posts pictures of himself smoking drugs and "Works at _____" on facebook. Rather than a measure of your character or whatever.
>>
>>968946
how much facebook info is accessible to employers?

There might be some shitty stuff in private messages but public/friends stuff is alright. Can they see deleted accounts?
>>
>>969017
they don't bother viewing deleted/private content unless something comes up that requires them to see the content, like an investigation or some shit. employers will practically never check that shit.
>>
>>969021
Ok sweet. Nothing that bad, just un-PC comments/jokes
