>sitting in hotel room night before interview for management consulting graduate rold
>practicing easy STAR interview answers
>can't even go through one answer without mispronouncing stuff, stumbling over words etc

The end result of 4 years without any socialising at university
>>
No worries, anon.

Employers can't discriminate based on autism. Say you got it in Iraq or something. You need to leverage these things.
>>
Keep at it as proper planning prevents piss poor performance :)
>>
Rehearse less, relax more.

Do nothing but relaxing things 12 hours prior to any performance event.

trust me.

I just finished it 5 hours ago. There were eight people including me. We were split in to two groups of four and asked to do a group exercise while assessors watched us and judge us on our "teamwork".

We did that and then an individual writing test (which I know I passed because I've easily done stuff like that before).

Then they sent away the unsuccessful people based on the two assessments and they sent away four people, including me.

Wtf, it:s like they chose at random ffs! I didn't even sperg or stutter in the group exercise, I talked normally, contributed logically, used people's names, kept track of time, at one time made a point to talk to a group member who had barely said anything for a while and who didn't get cut, and of the other people there, the other two in my exercise were super outgoing normies, acting more assertive a reasonable amount, and one out of the two was sent away with me.

Lolwut, trust me when I say I wasn't an autist and it was all random

What are the race and Sex of the successful candidates? Vs those sent away?
>>
>>959843
You must be right. They probably put you up for the night just to roll the dice and send people home at random at the interview. Hr does silly stuff like that.
There is no way that it was your fault at all. the consulting firm probably doesn't have a proper and effective screening method for employees that they use.
>>
>>959845

I would summarise it but there wasn't a strong bias to it IMO. I guess out of the two normies in my group who acted identically, the successful one was a female but I assume they'd only pull that positive discrimination stuff at the CV screening stage or something.

>>959851

I detect sarcasm but what I described is what happened. It was a fairly bureaucratic process and massive normies failed it, even if you want to brand me a clueless autist.

If the process was just an informal chat with a 50 year old senior employee and other candidates got picked over me due to being part of the same lacrosse / golf clubs then I'd be annoyed... but I wouldn't be claiming that "there was no reason to pick one candidate over the other"

You're just shit, that's all it is. You were a shit interview. If you want a job, instead of whining about it on the internet, learn from the experience and get better.

Millennials everybody.
>>
>>959958

Lmao, give me a break, everything in this topic indicates that I want a meritocracy like old people had. It would be more millennial of me to pretend that this isnt bullshit
>>
>>959969
No I'm pretty sure whining "waaaah poor me, it's sooo unfaaair" is typical millenial.
>>
OP here, does anyone else relate?
>>

You might of had an off putting vibe
