So I recently decided to start trying to get into the stock market. I am wondering what are some good stocks to get invested in? Which stocks should I be researching? I keep hearing pot is good. Any advice?

I'd go with an index fund that tracks the S&P 500 to start off with. SPY, VOO or IVV are the 3 big index funds that track the entire S&P so having one of them make up a large chunk of your portfolio is good if you want to just track the market.

I prefer having more specific index funds separated by market caps and an international fund, a couple different sectors, a corporate bond fund etc. and keeping them balanced in a fixed ratio. It's an effortless way to beat the overall market.
But screw picking individual stocks. I can barely keep up with the dozen or so promising cryptos out there. There are way too many companies to look into.
