Questions that don't deserve their own thread and stupid questions.
I have one of the stupid variety.
I've been developing a piece of software (just a shitty rpg) in the hopes of getting some side money off it for a couple months now, however I realized today that I have no idea what the logistics are in such an endeavor.
So the question I pose is thus: Do I need to register a business in order to use a development name/trademark of my own creation and collect funds through it?
Or am I able to collect the money, and pay taxes on it quarterly simply because I say I have a business?
TLDR: How do I independant businessman?
ashamedly bumping
idk man we just buy imaginary coins here
where can I find a dev I can employ to write my smart contracts?

Sounds like your a sole proprietor. You would usually just declare you're company under your own name, like "Anon Co". If you aren't using your own name, you might have to head down to the registry office and declare a trademark (Depends where you live). If you do freelance/indie development a lot, you may want to go corp or LTD. Once again, depends where you are. Best to talk to an accountant (or accounting forums). But you're usually not filling out the regular tax forms, either way.

I am mostly alone in this endeavor, yes.
I guess what I'm looking for is like an idiot beginner's guide to doing the bare legal minimum and still have a cool developer name. (I'd mostly like to keep my real name off of public docs.)

On blockfolio, everytime I buy an altcoin using BTC, do I have to put in my blockfolio that I sold that amount of BTC? I haven't been doing that so my portfolio is basically double and I have no idea how much money I actually have
