Job experience is more important than the CPA. While the CPA is nice to have, someone with more experience is almost always going to be hired over someone who doesn't have a CPA.

MS or a double major will get you there in the same time frame. I did a double major.

It's literally not. In public accounting specifically, you can have 5 years of experience and lose the job to a 2 year CPA. Without a CPA you're almost worthless to a public accounting firm. I work at one.
