How to get into finance and short-term moneylending? I have a few ideas of how to make payday loans more lucrative without charging the clients more or squeezing them harder but I've never been a moneylender or a debt collector before. My father did debt collections and worked at payday loan companies for 10 years though, and told me a little about how such businesses function. I was wondering if anyone can fill me in more about short-term moneylending and financing in general.

I don't understand. Are you unable to control yourself? Nobody's going to put a gun to your head and tell you to take out a loan. If you're so bad with money that you put yourself out of meals then you can't really be trusted to take care of yourself.
