I notice on Coin Market Cap that even when there are crashes, coins with low volume, "?" market cap, and "?" circulating supply suddenly spike. Milo Coin, Asic Coin, President Johnson. Why is that? If you put $1000 into a random shitcoin and the price shoots up 1000%, would you be able to sell at a profit?

it depends on the volume. if the volume is low, you're gonna have a hard time unloading a huge stack. you would have to sell it strategically over time as the price rises, not all at once

gothca. thank you. I wonder why anyone would jack up the volume knowing they wouldn't be able to sell it off strategically (for a shitcoin with only like $1000 volume). wouldn't the price fall as quickly as it went up? and who would even buy if they're the only person taking up the volume?

It does usually fall that quickly. What happens is that a whale or pump n dump group puts up a sell wall at their target price, buys all the sell orders in front of the wall, then takes it down once they notice more people have both trying to get in on the pump. Then they sell their holdings and make the price dump.
Whenever you see some unknown coin ecploding on rex, it almost always is this.
