Is hunting rabbits a good way to save money on food?

Midwesterner here. You DO NOT eat rabbit until AFTER the first frost. They have a nasty parasite in them that you do not want to get. Its treatable but dangerous. The parasite does not get killed when you cook the meat. Op red beans rice tomatoes and chicken are your friend 30 bucks a week there ya go YW.
