i don't get it. if there is such a discrepancy between the price of each market, then why can't people just buy at low price from one market and sell at another???
i am sure this question gets asked a lot here. but i don't remember any real answers.

they do. it's called arbitrage.

Of course, you can make money that way it's called arbitrage. Profits are not going to be as large as it seems because of all the fees involved.

>mfw brazilians bought 5k+

i don't you are right. no matter how slow they update you still can't have 1000 dollar difference between major exchanges.

where are you gonna get brazil or zimbabwe dollars in time to take advantage of it?
LETS DO IT WITH BITCOIN AT BITTREX
Loading money into exchange - +/-3%
Exchange buy - 0.5% fee
Withdrawal - 0.001BTC
Transfer fee to second exchange - 0.004BTC
Second exchange sell - 0.5%
Withdrawal from second exchange - 0.001BTC
Transfer fee to your wallet - 0.004BTC
Only fees will eat like 10% - 20%. (depends on amount)
Keep in my mind, that transfer of BTC can take about 2 hours. Exchange rates are changing every second... .
It's way harder than it seems to make profit with arbitrage, there are fees on buying, selling, withdrawing, depositing. Transferring money/coins can take a long time to the point of you losing value in the end. On top of that you can't trade on most of those exchanges since they require you being a resident of country they are located in or some other shit that takes a billion years to verify even if you qualify. You can of course try and see for yourself if you still think it's so easy.
