Warren Buffett even talks about that, he knows plenty of money managers trying to make 200% returns but all he focuses on is 20% returns. Over time a return of 20% compounds and is easier to get. Although Benjamin Graham did say in your portfolio if you do want to speculate you should only allocate 5% of your portfolio to that aim.
