Is it a good tactic ?

For example, I bought DGB at 600 sats back in May. I held through all this time, but nowadays it's mostly lingering below my initial investment, even in USD value.

I don't want to sell at a loss, so I'm thinking of buying when it drops to 350 sats or below so I can sell at a profit during the next pump to 500 or so sats.

Is this a good idea ? Is doubling down on purchases by buying at a less cost than the previous one you bought a good idea ?

yea, that money is sat there stagnant not earning anything whereas you could sell all or part of it and use that to trade with

You could sell it at a loss, claim it on your taxes as a "Non wash loss" against taxes on your gains.

then use that capital for gains.
