I wanted to buy the dip so I transferred money to coin base when I noticed that on coin base BTC is worth 4400 and on bittrex 4130..
How is this possible ? Can't I send money to bittrex directly?

Sites like coinbase usually have buy prices that are lower than on exchanges and sell prices that are higher. At least it's like that for the site that I use (bitpanda).
I think it's both a kind of safety measure and just a way to make profit. (Bitpanda doesn't charge any %, it just has this high buy/sell spread. Usually a couple 100 Euros.)

It's because you would have to transfer USD everytime, maybe also relevant for taxes.
