Most of these threads making fun of buzz words make sense, "read the white paper" definitely doesn't though. Can you imagine investing in stocks without looking at cash flows and profits of a company's stock you're investing in? Well I imagine that you probably can if you're a big enough fool to not read up on the cryptos you're putting money into, its definitely not something to brag about doing though.

People just want to believe that they have a working system, that they're doing_their_own research.meme, and that they're working harder than you are by reading whitepapers (which could simply be, and often are, lying 100% about their capabilities or goals).
