Seriously though, what will be the point of this coin in a year from now? Isn't it only valuable because of name recognition + it's used to trade for all other alts? As soon as the crypto market becomes massive/established btc won't be necessary anymore

I genuinely believe IOTA is gonna go places for that. Maybe we'll be paying with our cell phones for things in the future (since we'll need something with the hardware in the future to verify the transactions)
