Can someone explain this part of the mechanics of an OMG transaction:

Let's say you have frequent flyer miles and you want to buy a coffee with them.

My understanding is: you pay your frequent flyer miles with OMG, which converts the miles instantaneously into $$$ with a variable exchange rate, and the faggot barista merchant receives the payment in $$$.

But my question is: where do the miles "go"? I'm assuming there's an exchange rate because there's someone willing to buy them. So is there a trade for $$ instantaneously with some third party asshole who wants to buy miles? And what if that trade can't be executed immediately? Are you going to be letting your coffee cool down waiting for the dip in the miles market?
