No, but this isn't what you are thinking. It is a wholistic way of looking at different indicators. It is really no different in theory than looking at prices 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, in the past and trying to project from there. It is a tool and many people find it helpful. You are thinking about certain, not all, geometry schemes where scam artists say they can predict the future.
