Why are dentists and root canals so expensive? I understand the crown itself being expensive but why is the route kanal itself so expensive? Is there any way I can get grants or dental work for cheaper?

I had one sketchy business try to scam me into getting a root canal, found a well reviewed and trusted older dentist online who said it just needed a filling. Been fine for 5 yrs since.

Tth a dental college. You can get dental work done on the cheap because its students doing the work. Its not as scary as it sounds because a full fledged dent I st is always on hand in case the students run into trouble. I got free halcyon gas ($75 value) one time also.
