I bought my first cryptocurrency (1 ETF) on Coinbase last week and noticed the insane fee. I am considering moving to GDAX to buy ~3k more of ETF. Is GDAX safe? Can I safely store my ETF long term there?

Gdax is coinbase ya nerd

I realize that. But the fees are significantly lower.
Regardless, is it safe to store long term there? or should I go paper wallet?

So why would anyone use coinbase?

As to the safety?

I thought you couod only buy BTC ETH and Litecoin on Coinbase. How'd you buy ETF?

I'm dumb...
GDAX is very safe, and one good thing about GDAX, is if you accidentally do a limit sell below the market price, or Buy above market price, it won't allow the order to go through. Unlike Bittrex where you can fuck yourself over when pricing things in bitcoin if you aren't exact.

nah dude, use GDAX and only use limit orders, never use market orders, THIS WAY YOU PAY NO FEES. Also it's probably not safe long term to store on any exchange, you never want a MT. Gox situation.

Thanks for the advice senpai.
Do you have any suggestions for a good way to store my ETH?

you could do Paper Wallet, Trezor, Exodus. There are other options, But very very important that if you do a paper wallet you research all the ins and outs of it, because if you fuck up you lose everything.
