They will try to fuck you if you use an abnormally large amount.
Say you start using a ridiculously high amount of electricity. Suddenly your landlord says jk you have to pay for all of it. You say no – landlord says gtfo. Do you really have the time and money to fight them on it?

Depends where you live I guess? In Canada we have pretty tenant-friendly rental laws for protecting people. I currently live in a large apartment complex with utilities included in the rent price and there's literally nothing they can do about it, especially if I am still on a lease or rental agreement. I run a small mining operation in one of my rooms and probably use about 3-5 kW of power at any given time. Even if you are renting from a smaller company /landlord and its written that utilities are included, in most civilized countries there's literally nothing a landlord can do about it without heavy fines or having legal action taken against them if they so much as touch my power in any way. Their only option is waiting until your lease period is over and trying to evict you afterwards, but doing so may require a long legal process if they are a landlord of a very large building is really going to waste time and money dealing with court and lawyers just to save a few dozen/hundred bucks a month cause of one tenant doing this, although it would be worth the trouble if you were renting a small house from a independent renter or something. At least this is how it works over here.
Rent a bunch of washers and dryers.
Wash clothes for people for cheap.
Water will cost something, but the dryer will be free.
Start your mining rig in the cold months. If he asks just tell him you have electric heaters.
In some cold and poor countries they actually use mining rigs as heaters.
