If you are seriously not investing in Monero right now I dont know whats wrong with you. Monero is the best and pretty much only anonymous coin out there. And anonymity is the only thing keeping crypto together.

Also you can evade paying taxes.

200$ by Labour Day
>>
>>3256070
Fuck Monero.... Buy Moreno!
>>
>>3256070
how is this better by multiple orders of magnitude from:
xspec
xvg

xmr is already over $130 so it seems overbought relative to those others which are both well under $1
>>
>>3256070
ill invest in it once its done dumping to 200 sats
>>
>>3256453
idoit those both have public blockchains
>>
>>3256466
can someone do a serious rundown of the differences in tech, not just memes.

as far as i know they are all 3 anonymous
>>
Anon because I bought DeepOnion instead and now I am up by 5BTC.
>>
>>3256487
XVG isn't anonymous, it's a generic shitcoin running through tor.
It anonymizes your internet traffic when talking to other nodes, but that's completely useless on its own.
>>
>>3256487
anonymizing the ip address and blockchain are two very different things.

the second is trivial bitcoin; could do it years ago. second is much harder. xmr does it the best right now
>>
>>3256576
*first is trivial
>>
>>3256070

This shit will hit $1K a pop somewhere in the next 5 yrs
>>
How can you evade taxes with this coin?
>>
>>3256666
You can't. Monero and other cryptos are anonymous as long as they aren't tied to a specific identity. The weakness is the exchange. If you verify yourself on an exchange or deposit fiat from an exchange to your bank the government knows you received money. The only way around this is to use a stolen identity to withdraw. But if you are using a stolen identity to anonymize your income, you can just use any crypto and it would function the same. Monero just has a built in tumbler service but if you are doing illegal shit you should only ever withdraw from an exchange using a stolen id.
>>
>>3256734
you don't need an exchange, you can mine it, or you can get xmr with cash the same way you can get for example bitcoin with local bitcoin, except with xmr the blockchain isn't public so you're safe
>>
>>3256919
Great, now tell me how I can get xmr into usd without a bank knowing.
>>
>>3256962
cash cash cash

all that exists is monero and cash
>>
>>3257017
Yeah and how is monero and different from any crypto if I'm going to buy crypto with cash in person and sell crypto in cash in person?
>>
>>3257053
Because the person you sell it to doesn't know what address the monero came from.
He can't just open a blockchain explorer and see your entire transaction history or any other shit that's possible with other cryptos.
>>
>>3257053
buy gold bars with crypto and sell those
>>
>>3257099
Why the fuck would the person buying my crypto care where it comes from? It's not illegal to purchase crypto with cash. And even if he could see the transaction history how the fuck would he even know which ones are illicit or not? That makes no sense at all for monero or any crypto.

>>3257105

Gold vendors record sales and purchases in accordance with fintrac, same as banks.
>>
>>3257180
I care if they know.
If you don't care about your privacy, you obviously don't need to use monero.
>>
>>3257271
You transacted in person, the guy you're selling to doesn't even know your real name. He can look up transactions but he won't even know what you purchased with those transactions. That is as anonymous as saying hello to a random dude walking down the street.

No I don't need monero because I don't see a benefit it has over other crypto's.
>>
Not buying your bags, OP. I got in XMR under $40 like anyone sensible who started this year. Sold my stack in the $120-140 range. Might buy back at $100 or even at the same price in a few months, but right now it's time to be in ETH.
>>
Would using eth on an exchange to buy monero and then buy back to eth obfuscate previous transactions?
>>
>>3257391
Ie, simply moving currency through monero is enough?
>>
>>3257400
if you move it back to the same address obviously not
>>
>>3257477
technically its unlinked, obvious tho
>>
>>3257391
ETH -> Shapeshift -> Monero -> Shapeshift -> ETH in new address
>>
>>3257309

monero is fungible. 1 XMR = 1 XMR. This is not necessarily true for bitcoin because some people can value tainted coins (drug money) less than newly minted ones.
>>
XST... stealthcoin is superior
>>
>XVG
literally just bitcoin + tor
>XSPEC
shadowcash fork + tor. shadowcash used stealth addresses (one-time address used for transactions) for senders and receivers and optional ring signatures (google it). shadowcash's implementation was found out to be broken and it was never fixed by xspec devs.
>monero
not a bitcoin fork. stealth addresses, ring signatures, and ringCT (all mandatory). doesn't support Tor out of the box, but can be configured to use it. plans to support I2P (tor alternative) out of the box someday
>>
>>3258483

XSPEC did fix the problems with stealth addresses, ring signatures, etc months ago . If you read their BitcoinTalk thread you would know this. Will be $10 by the end of the year
>>
>>3256070
Saw this, sold my car and bought like 1000xmr. Im gonna make a $hit t$n of money in 2 years
>>
>>3257180
buy drugs obv
>>
>>3258567
1000 xmr = congrats. Future millionaire.
>>
>>3258557
Source.
>>
>>3257680
And now that you've acquired your monero that has been cleaned of history you will still need to go through an exchange-->bank-->fiat. Which if you aren't using a stolen id you will leave a paper trail. Now if you use a stolen id, monero or bitcoin, it doesn't matter because the paper trail will be a dead end. So what's the point of using monero in the first place if I'm going to use a stolen id to withdraw into fiat?
>>
>>3258876
I see this argument a lot. Why do I have to exchange my monero to fiat? I can just pay for services and goods with it.
>>
>>3256636

More like next few months.
>>
>>3259224
Because these are the retards of crypto, everything they look at is still distorted by their fiat glasses.

let them be they have folders full of lame pink wojacks, they sell on every red candle, they buy at all the highs.
>>
>>3257180

You've obviously never done business negotiation before, why the fuck would you want the other guy knowing how much you pay for shit and how much money you got. Think, anon, think!
>>
>>3258657
He's lying and if you mention it in the bitcointalk thread, your post will get deleted.
>>
ive been saying this for months but actually sold my monero for barely any dosh, essentially broke even because i have the weakest hands

What's the purpose of a crypto credit card when nobody wants to spend their crypto? So you can kill yourself when you realize you payed $80,000 for that hamburger when the value moons in 2 weeks?

>tfw need to cash out my 25 coins tomorrow to pay some debts
FUCK I COULD HAVE KEPT SOME IF I SOLD HIGH AND DIDN'T GET GREEDY
>>
If you have only 1 XMR(bought at $95) is it worth holding or is it better to sell now for a $36 profit and buy back in later at a dip?
>>
>>3260307
the dip is over anon
>>
>>3260108
crypto is only good for drugs
>>
>>3260953
Not true.
There's guns, botnets, bribes, hackers, all kinds of porn, assassinations...
You can build an entire evil empire with crypto and never get caught as long as you don't try to directly cash out.

Friends laughed at me when I wanted to buy monero at $45 since the previous ATH was $52 so I only bought 2 coins...
