Vertcoin has better long term potential than litecoin. If you look at the coin distribution with LItecoin you will see that the creator and his brother hold most of the coins. Vertcoin is distributed more fairly, and can be easily mined with lower grade GPU's.

Vertcoin can't be mined by ASICs so it can't become centralized like LTC and BTC.

Right now the only thing holding back Vertcoin is a huge fucking whale with sell wall. Once people tear that apart this is going to moon.

Also, there's no reason Vertcoin can't eventually achieve Digibyte's market cap. That would place Vertcoin at around $3.
