how the fuck do i open a wallet.dot that is a few yerars old? I have no time or space o download the entire blockchain on core. blockchain.info does not accept wallet imports in this format anymore.

you don't need to download the blockchain to use core.

use core, open wallet, send the btc wherever.

If you put the wallet.dat file in the electrum wallets folder, electrum will automatically convert it to me format
